Beauty of Joseon Green Plum Refreshing Toner: AHA + BHA is a gentle, daily-use exfoliating toner that helps keep pores clear, texture smooth and skin bright – without wrecking your barrier.

It combines 25% green plum water (Prunus mume fruit water), packed with natural acids and vitamins to soften dead cells, with mung bean extract to soothe and lightly hydrate.

On top of that, a low-concentration blend of chemical exfoliants – Glycolic Acid (AHA) around 2–3% and Salicylic Acid (BHA) 0.5% – gently dissolves dead skin and sebum, helping to prevent clogged pores, blackheads and dullness. The formula is designed to be mild enough for frequent or even daily use, especially for those new to acids.

The texture is a watery, refreshing toner that sinks in quickly, leaving skin feeling clean, smooth and lightly hydrated – not tight. Alcohol-free, fragrance-free and essential-oil-free.

Cleanse
Start with a gentle cleanser suited to your skin type.
Apply the toner – two methods
Cotton pad method (extra clarifying):
Soak a thin cotton pad with toner.
Gently swipe from the centre of the face outwards, avoiding the immediate eye area.
Focus on T-zone, nose, chin and areas with rough texture or congestion.

Hands method (gentler / for sensitive skin):
Pour a small amount (about a 5–10p coin size) into your palms.
Press and pat over face and neck.
Let it sit
Give the toner 1–2 minutes to work before layering other products.
If your skin is very sensitive, you can go straight in with your next step.
Follow with hydration
Apply a hydrating serum and moisturiser to replenish water and support the barrier.
Daytime = SPF is non-negotiable
In the morning, always follow with broad-spectrum SPF 30–50 as your last step.

Tips to get the most out of it

If you’re a beginner or very sensitive:
Start 2–3 times per week, preferably at night.
Avoid using other exfoliating products (peels, strong AHA/BHA toners) on the same days.
If you use retinoids, vitamin C or strong actives, consider using this on alternate nights or keeping the rest of the routine very simple and hydrating.
Watch for signs of over-exfoliation: tightness, stinging, unusual shine, flakiness. If that happens, stop acids for a bit and focus on barrier care.

Patch-test first. Apply a little behind your ear or on your jawline and wait 24 hours before full use.
