100% authentic K‑beauty- Hand-picked by our founder
Abib Collagen Gel Mask Sedum Jelly is a single hydrogel mask with yeast-fermented vegan collagen, sedum extract, several forms of hyaluronic acid and niacinamide. It is a quick hydration and glow mask: skin is left feeling hydrated and soft, with a fresher, bouncier look for the day.
What it does
The essence is set into a thin gel sheet that holds it closely against the skin. Glycerin, the yeast-fermented collagen and several forms of hyaluronic acid hydrate the surface, which is where the plumper look comes from. Niacinamide helps dull skin look fresher, and panthenol and allantoin keep it comfortable. Vitamin C and the peptide are listed near the end, so they are small supporting additions.
Why we chose it
We chose it as a quick hydration and glow mask, not a firming treatment. The collagen is vegan: Abib say it is made by fermenting yeast rather than taken from animals, and the mask is V-Label approved and fragrance-free according to Abib. That makes it our pick for anyone avoiding the animal-derived collagen in many masks, and an easy, low-cost step before an event.
Best for
- Dehydrated or tight-feeling skin
- Dull, tired-looking skin before an event
- Skin that looks flat and lacks bounce
- Anyone who wants a vegan collagen mask
Not ideal if
- You want an overnight mask: Biodance Hydro Cera-nol Real Deep Mask is worn for hours
- You want lasting firming: the extra bounce from a mask is temporary
Key ingredients
- Collagen extract: Abib state 100,005 ppm of yeast-fermented vegan collagen. It hydrates the surface for a plumper feel; collagen in skincare does not add to your skin's own collagen
- Sedum sarmentosum extract and hyaluronic acids: hydration
- Palmitoyl tripeptide-5: a peptide, listed near the end; a minor addition, not a firming treatment
- Niacinamide: a fresher, brighter look. Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is listed near the end, a minor addition
- Panthenol and allantoin: comfort
Texture and finish
A cool, jelly-like hydrogel sheet that clings closely, leaving skin dewy rather than sticky.
Where it goes in your routine
After cleansing and toner. Peel off the protective film, smooth the sheet on and leave it for 20 to 30 minutes. Remove, pat in the leftover essence and finish with moisturiser. One to three times a week, or before an event.
What to expect
Skin feels hydrated, cool and soft straight away, with a plumper, glowier look for the day. Lasting hydration still comes from your daily routine.

Good to know
- Fragrance-free according to Abib
- V-Label vegan approved according to Abib; collagen is made by fermenting yeast
- No retinoid and no exfoliating acids
Is the collagen really vegan?
Abib say the collagen is made by fermenting yeast, not taken from animals, and that the mask is V-Label approved. On the ingredient list it appears under the standard name "collagen extract", so its vegan status rests on Abib's statement and the V-Label approval.
Will it firm my skin?
Not lastingly. Hydration gives a plumper, bouncier look for the day, and the peptide is a minor ingredient. We chose it for hydration and glow, not firming.
Does 100,005 ppm mean it is 10% collagen?
Abib state 100,005 ppm of fermented vegan collagen. We treat that as a brand-stated figure and do not infer the concentration of pure collagen from the ingredient list. Either way, collagen in skincare works as a surface hydrator; it does not add to your skin's own collagen.
Can sensitive skin use it?
Often, yes. Abib describe it as fragrance-free, and there is no retinoid, exfoliating acid or essential oil listed. As with any new mask, patch test first if your skin reacts easily.
Can oily skin use it?
Yes, especially if your skin is oily but dehydrated. There are no oils in the ingredient list, and it leaves skin dewy rather than sticky. Follow with a light moisturiser.
How is it different from the Biodance Hydro Cera-nol mask?
This is a 20 to 30 minute hydration and glow mask. The Biodance mask is worn overnight and is built around ceramides for barrier comfort; it contains shea butter and collagen extract of unstated origin, so this Abib mask is the one to choose if you avoid nut or animal-derived ingredients.
