What is the "vegan collagen"?

AXIS-Y describe the collagen as vegan, but their page does not say what it is made from; the ingredient list shows it simply as collagen at 450 ppm, which is 0.045%. At that level it is a small supporting ingredient. Collagen applied to skin works as a surface hydrator; it does not add to your skin's own collagen. The peptides, hyaluronic acids and niacinamide do most of the work here.

Will it help my dark circles?

It depends on the cause. Niacinamide, which AXIS-Y state at 2%, is there for a brighter look, so it is most relevant when dark circles are discolouration. Shadows from under-eye hollows are about structure, and an eye serum will make little difference there. Morning puffiness is where the cool massage helps the area look fresher.

Can I wear it under concealer?

Yes, it is a light serum that AXIS-Y describe as fast-absorbing. Let it sink in before concealer. If your eye area is dry, follow with your moisturiser or a richer eye cream first.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

Often, yes. There is no fragrance, essential oil, retinoid or exfoliating acid in the listed ingredients, which is why we include it for sensitive skin. It does contain several fruit extracts (apple, plum, grape, papaya and fig) and plant oils, so if your eye area reacts easily, patch test first.

Can I use it with a retinal eye cream?

Yes. It contains no retinoid, so it pairs well with one: use the retinal product at night and this serum in the morning, or on the nights you skip retinal.
