  • Regular price £24.99
S.Nature Aqua Squalane Moisturizing Cream is a gel-cream with 150,000 ppm (15%) squalane, eight forms of hyaluronic acid, glycerin and betaine. It keeps skin hydrated and comfortable without a heavy film, and leaves a soft, dewy finish that sits well under sunscreen and makeup. What it doesSqualane is a light emollient that softens skin and helps slow moisture loss. Hyaluronic acid, glycerin and betaine draw water in, while xylitylglucoside, anhydroxylitol and xylitol, a moisture complex sold as Aquaxyl, help skin hold on to it. Panthenol and allantoin add comfort. Adenosine and a peptide are also in the list, but this is a moisturiser first, not a fine-lines treatment. Why we chose itA high squalane level in a light gel-cream is a useful middle ground: more cushion than a gel, less weight than a rich cream. It pairs with S.Nature Aqua Squalane Serum. What customers say

5.0 ★ · 4 reviews
  • I've only been using it for a few days, and I genuinely didn't think I'd be writing a review this soon. But the difference is already so noticeable that I couldn't keep it to myself.

My skin just stays moisturised. That's the thing. Usually by mid-morning I can feel that tight, thirsty feeling creeping back in, but with this, it holds. And it does it without feeling greasy or heavy, which for me has always been the trade-off I've had to make.

I've been layering it into my glass skin routine and it fits in beautifully. The other thing that surprised me is how well it works under makeup. My foundation actually sits nicely now instead of clinging to dry patches, and I'm not reaching for a mist every two hours to rescue my face.

What it does

Squalane is a light emollient that softens skin and helps slow moisture loss. Hyaluronic acid, glycerin and betaine draw water in, while xylitylglucoside, anhydroxylitol and xylitol, a moisture complex sold as Aquaxyl, help skin hold on to it. Why we chose it

A high squalane level in a light gel-cream is a useful middle ground: more cushion than a gel, less weight than a rich cream. It pairs with S.Nature Aqua Squalane Serum.

Best for

  • Dehydrated skin that feels tight or looks dull
  • Normal, combination or dry skin that wants cushion without heaviness
  • A smooth base under sunscreen and makeup
  • The look of fine lines caused by dryness

Not ideal if

  • You avoid animal-derived ingredients: it contains hydrolysed collagen, and the source is not stated
  • Your skin is very dry or flaky: you may prefer a richer barrier cream such as Dr.Jart+ Ceramidin Skin Barrier Moisturizing Cream
  • You want a treatment for dark spots or breakouts: this is a moisturiser, not an active

Key ingredients

  • Squalane (150,000 ppm): softness and less moisture loss
  • Eight forms of hyaluronic acid: hydration
  • Xylitylglucoside, anhydroxylitol and xylitol: help skin hold water
  • Panthenol, allantoin and betaine: comfort
  • Adenosine and acetyl hexapeptide-8: supporting ingredients for the look of fine lines

Texture and finish

Where it goes in your routine

The last skincare step, after serum. Apply a moderate amount to face and neck and pat it in, morning and evening. In the morning, follow with sunscreen.

What to expect

Skin should feel softer and more hydrated straight away. The plumper, smoother look builds with steady twice-daily use.

  • Use as the last skincare step, morning and evening, after toner and serum.
  • Start with a moderate amount for face and neck. If some areas still feel tight, add a thin second layer there rather than more everywhere.
  • If you use S.Nature Aqua Squalane Serum, apply the serum first and this on top.
  • In the morning, let it settle for a minute before sunscreen.
  • Patch test first if your skin is sensitive.

Good to know

  • No fragrance or essential oils in the listed ingredients
  • Contains hydrolysed collagen (source not stated)
  • No retinoid and no exfoliating acids

Is it heavy?

It is a gel-cream, described by retailers as watery and non-sticky, so it sits between a gel and a rich cream. Squalane is the second ingredient, so it gives more cushion than a pure gel moisturiser.

Will it suit oily or combination skin?

It depends on your skin. Combination skin that wants hydration without a heavy film is a good match. If your skin is very oily, you may find it more cushioning than you want, especially in the morning.

Is it rich enough for very dry or flaky skin?

Probably not on its own. For very dry skin, a richer barrier cream such as Dr.Jart+ Ceramidin Skin Barrier Moisturizing Cream is the better choice.

Is it vegan?

We don't label it vegan. It contains hydrolysed collagen and the source is not stated.

Does it contain fragrance?

No fragrance or essential oils appear in the listed ingredients.
