What kind of spot does it work best on?

Surface spots that have come to a head. The patch needs fluid to absorb, so on a deep, sore spot with no head it mostly just covers the area.

Is it an acne treatment?

No. There are no actives such as salicylic acid or tea tree in it. It works physically: it covers the spot, absorbs fluid and stops you touching or picking while the spot settles.

Why does the patch turn white?

Hydrocolloid forms a soft gel as it absorbs fluid, and that gel looks white. When the patch has turned white, replace it with a fresh one, as the pouch directs.

Can I wear it during the day?

Yes. The patches are thin and see-through, so they are fairly discreet. Put the patch on first, on clean, dry skin, so it sticks well, and apply other products around it.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

Usually, as there is no fragrance and no active ingredient. The base contains adhesive polymers and liquid paraffin (mineral oil), so if you react to plasters or adhesives, try one patch first. The pouch says to stop using it and ask a doctor if a rash occurs.
