Second time buying this cream. Very sensitive skin here, and this cream is excelent. Calms instantly, absorbs beautifully, leaves my skin looking healthy, never heavy or greasy. Just calm, comfy, hydrated skin all day.
I also have rosacea, and this cream really helps keep my skin settled and supported. A great additon to my routine. I trust it daily. If you have sensitive or reactive skin and want something gentle yet effective, highly recommend. Truly impressed.Kyran

Dr.Althea 345 Relief Cream is a light gel-cream with niacinamide and panthenol, plus tea tree leaf water, centella, madecassoside, resveratrol and ceramide NP. It helps blemish-prone skin, or skin overworked by actives, feel calmer and more comfortable without a heavy finish. The name refers to the brand's mix of 3 blemish-care, 4 nourishing and 5 soothing ingredients.
What it does
Niacinamide helps balance oil and even the look of tone, while panthenol and centella keep skin comfortable. Tea tree leaf water and coptis root extract add botanical support, and sodium hyaluronate, beta-glucan and ceramide NP help hold moisture in.
Why we chose it
It gives barrier comfort in a light gel-cream, which suits skin that finds rich creams too heavy but still feels tight or reactive.
Best for
- Blemish-prone or oily skin
- Combination skin that wants a light moisturiser
- Skin that feels irritated or tight after actives
- The look of redness
- The look of marks left after breakouts
Not ideal if
- You are sensitive to tea tree: it contains tea tree leaf water, a hydrosol rather than an essential oil
- You avoid animal-derived ingredients: it lists sodium DNA, which is often fish-derived; the source is not stated
- Your skin is very dry: you may prefer a richer cream such as Dr.Jart+ Ceramidin Skin Barrier Moisturizing Cream
Key ingredients
- Niacinamide: oil balance and a more even-looking tone
- Panthenol: comfort and hydration
- Centella asiatica, madecassoside and tea tree leaf water: a calmer feel
- Resveratrol and tocopherol: antioxidant support
- Sodium hyaluronate, beta-glucan and ceramide NP: moisture
Texture and finish
Retailers describe it as a lightweight, ointment-like gel cream that spreads easily.
Where it goes in your routine
The moisturiser step, after serum, morning and evening. Apply a moderate amount to the face and neck and press it in. In the morning, follow with sunscreen.
What to expect
Skin should feel more comfortable from the first use. The look of redness and post-blemish marks settles gradually with steady use, a gentle routine and daily sunscreen.
Quick facts: 50 ml · Niacinamide, panthenol, centella · No fragrance listed · AM and PM · Dr.Althea, made in Korea
- Use as your moisturiser, after serum, morning and evening.
- Take a moderate amount. Start small and add more only if your skin still feels tight.
- On nights you use a retinoid or exfoliating acid, use it as the comforting final step.
- In the morning, follow with sunscreen.
- Patch test first, especially if you are sensitive to tea tree.

Good to know
- No fragrance in the listed ingredients
- Contains tea tree leaf water (a hydrosol, not an essential oil)
- Contains sodium DNA (source not stated; often fish-derived)
- No retinoid and no exfoliating acids
Will it feel heavy on oily skin?
It depends on how oily your skin is. It is a light gel-cream, and retailers describe it as absorbing quickly without a greasy finish, which is why we chose it for oily and combination skin that still wants a moisturiser. If your skin is very oily, a thin layer may be all you need.
Does it contain tea tree or fragrance?
There is no fragrance in the listed ingredients, although Dr.Althea have not confirmed it as fragrance-free. It does contain tea tree leaf water, which comes second on our carton, right after water. This is a hydrosol, not an essential oil, but if you know tea tree doesn't suit you, choose another moisturiser.
Is it vegan?
Our cartons list sodium DNA, and Dr.Althea do not state where it comes from, so we don't label it vegan.
Will it clear breakouts?
No. It is a moisturiser, not a blemish treatment, with no exfoliating acid and no retinoid. Its job is to keep blemish-prone skin comfortable, while niacinamide helps with oil balance and a more even-looking tone. If you use a blemish treatment, this is the moisturiser to follow it with.
Can dry skin use it?
It depends on the kind of dryness. If your skin feels tight or irritated but you dislike heavy creams, it can work well. If your skin is very dry, you may prefer something richer, such as Dr.Jart+ Ceramidin Skin Barrier Moisturizing Cream.
