Dark Spot Fading Routine

A dark spot serum can help. But it was never meant to do the whole job. Pigmentation-prone skin doesn’t just need one treatment step. It needs the routine around it: targeted care, barrier support, consistent SPF, the right AM and PM order — and time. That’s why we created the Dark Spot Fading Routine: eight Korean skincare products sequenced into one complete AM + PM system, with printed Blueprint Cards that show you exactly what to use, in what order, and when to introduce each step. This Korean skincare routine is designed for pigmentation-prone skin, including dark spots, post-acne marks, sun spots and uneven tone. Made for routines that have tried individual products — and need more structure. What it is Eight Korean skincare products, sequenced into one AM + PM routine for dark spots, post-acne marks and uneven tone. The routine is built around three well-established brightening actives — tranexamic acid, also known as TXA, niacinamide and retinal — with Centella, Bifida and daily SPF to keep skin supported while you stay consistent. Plus printed Blueprint Cards, so you know exactly what to use, when to use it, and how to introduce retinal slowly. Why one serum isn’t enough Dark marks can appear for more than one reason: old breakouts, sun exposure, inflammation, uneven tone and a weakened barrier can all play a part. So one serum can only do part of the job. This routine works from more than one angle: TXA helps target uneven pigmentation. Niacinamide helps support a more even-looking tone. Retinal supports overnight skin renewal and helps improve the look of existing marks over time. Centella helps calm the feel of stressed skin — important for post-acne marks and pigmentation-prone routines. Daily SPF helps protect against UV exposure, which can make marks look darker and bring them back. No single step does all of that. Together, in the right order, they create a routine your skin can actually follow consistently. Morning protects. Evening targets. The routine uses brightening support at both ends of the day, on purpose. In the morning, a gentler serum supports uneven tone while SPF protects your progress. At night, a stronger TXA + niacinamide + retinal serum focuses on the look of existing marks and gradual renewal. AM: brighten, hydrate, protect with SPF. PM: cleanse, hydrate, target the look of existing marks. Every day: calm and strengthen the barrier, so your skin can stay consistent. The goal isn’t to overwhelm your skin. It’s to give it a clear routine it can stay with. What’s inside Round Lab Birch Juice Cleanser (150 ml) — AM + PM Ultra-gentle water cleanse that leaves skin fresh without stripping the barrier. Every product has a role: cleanse, hydrate, brighten, renew, calm, moisturise and protect. More than one angle. Most routines work on pigmentation from one direction. This one works on it from several — which is what stubborn marks usually need. Barrier-first brightening. Centella, Bifida and ceramides keep your skin calm and supported, so you can stay consistent through the whole process. Clear instructions included. The printed Blueprint Cards show you exactly what to use, when, and how often to introduce retinal. What’s not in it — and why No vitamin C — this routine is already built around TXA, niacinamide and retinal, so it doesn’t rely on vitamin C as the main brightening step. No harsh exfoliating acids — retinal gives gradual renewal, while strong acids can be too much for pigmentation-prone or easily irritated skin. No unnecessary fragrance or essential oils — the routine is kept structured, gentle and barrier-conscious on purpose. How to start — and what to expect Pigmentation is slow, and anything promising to erase dark spots in days is not being straight with you. Start the retinal gently. The PM serum is your only retinal step. If you’re new to retinal, use it 2–3 nights a week for the first couple of weeks, then build up gradually as your skin gets comfortable. Everything else can be used AM + PM from day one. Give it time. With consistent use and daily SPF, most people notice skin looking more even from around 6–8 weeks. Newer marks tend to respond first; older, deeper pigmentation can take 8–12 weeks or longer. SPF is non-negotiable. UV exposure can trigger and worsen pigmentation, so apply SPF every morning as your final step, even on cloudy days. For melasma-prone skin, SPF is only part of it: hats, shade and visible-light protection matter too.

What it is

Eight Korean skincare products, sequenced into one AM + PM routine for dark spots, post-acne marks and uneven tone.

Why one serum isn’t enough

Dark marks can appear for more than one reason: old breakouts, sun exposure, inflammation, uneven tone and a weakened barrier can all play a part.

So one serum can only do part of the job.

This routine works from more than one angle:

TXA helps target uneven pigmentation.

How the system works

The Dark Spot Fading Routine is not meant to be started aggressively.

It is a complete AM + PM routine, but the active night step — the Purito TXA + Retinal Serum — is introduced gradually so your skin has time to adjust.

What makes the system work is the order:

✦ Morning protects — cleanse, hydrate, brighten and finish with SPF
✦ Evening targets — double cleanse, hydrate, support the barrier and use retinal slowly
✦ Barrier support stays daily — Centella, Bifida and hydration help keep skin comfortable
✦ SPF is non-negotiable — without it, dark spots can look darker again

Your printed Blueprint Cards show the exact order, amounts and onboarding schedule inside the box.

How to introduce the retinal step
The Purito serum is the active night step. Do not use it every night from day one if you are new to retinal.

Weeks 1–2: use 2–3 nights per week
Weeks 3–4: increase to every other night if your skin feels comfortable
After 4 weeks: build up gradually if your skin is tolerating it well

On non-retinal nights, follow the same PM routine but skip the Purito serum.

Important notes

Use retinal at night only.

Apply the Purito serum on dry skin.

Avoid using other retinoids, strong exfoliating acids or vitamin C in the same routine unless your skin is already very tolerant.

If your skin feels irritated, pause the Purito serum for a few nights and continue with the hydrating, calming and barrier-support steps.

For full protocols, amounts, troubleshooting and onboarding, follow the printed Dark Spot Fading Routine Blueprint Cards included in your set.

What's included?
Eight full-size Korean skincare products — no minis, no samples — sequenced into one complete AM + PM routine for dark spots, post-acne marks and uneven tone.

The routine includes two brightening steps: a gentler daytime serum, and a stronger TXA + retinal serum for night. You also receive printed Blueprint Cards with step-by-step guidance, retinal onboarding and troubleshooting from day one.

How long until I see a difference?
Pigmentation is slow to shift. This is a long game, and consistency plus daily SPF matter far more than speed.

Most people find their skin feels more hydrated within the first week or two. A more even-looking tone is gradual — typically from around 6–8 weeks with consistent use, and longer for older or deeper marks.

Melasma-prone pigmentation can take longer still and often needs dermatologist support alongside a routine like this.

Will it help with melasma?
It may suit melasma-prone skin if your skin tolerates retinal and you are committed to daily SPF.

TXA, niacinamide and retinal are well-known ingredients used in pigmentation-focused skincare, and daily SPF is essential. But melasma is complex and often needs dermatologist-led support — so if yours is diagnosed, severe, changing or hormonally triggered, please speak to a professional.

For melasma-prone skin, hats, shade and visible-light protection can matter as much as serums.

How long will the set last?
With twice-daily use, most products last around 3–4 months. The 30 ml serums may run out a little sooner.

Every product is available individually, so you only reorder what you need.

How much would these cost individually?
£159.38 if bought separately.

But the saving is only part of the point. On their own, you would still be left working out how to layer brightening actives, retinal, barrier support and SPF without overwhelming your skin.

The set gives you the products and the order to use them in.

Will it help red post-acne marks?
It can support the look of both brown post-acne marks and the redness left behind after breakouts.

Niacinamide and Centella help calm and support the skin, which can help the complexion look more even over time. Red marks can be more stubborn than brown marks and may take longer to improve.

Why are there two different brightening serums?
The AM serum is a gentler daytime step designed to support uneven tone alongside your SPF.

The PM serum is a stronger TXA + niacinamide + retinal serum used at night to support stubborn-looking marks and gradual renewal.

Splitting brightening support across AM and PM helps the routine work from more than one angle without asking one serum to do everything.

Will my skin purge?
Some people may notice temporary breakouts, dryness or sensitivity as their skin adjusts to retinal, especially in the first few weeks.

This is why the Blueprint Cards introduce the Purito retinal serum slowly. If your skin feels irritated or uncomfortable, reduce the retinal step to once or twice a week and focus on the calming, hydrating and barrier-support products.

Can I use this if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
No. This routine contains retinal, so it is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Can I use this with tretinoin?
No — do not layer retinal with tretinoin. They work on the same pathway, and combining them can cause significant irritation.

If you are using prescription retinoids, speak to your prescriber first. The cleanser, toner, Centella ampoule, moisturiser and SPF may still be suitable alongside tretinoin, but the Purito retinal serum should be avoided.

What if the retinal serum irritates my skin?
Pause the Purito PM serum for a few nights and continue with the toner, Centella ampoule and moisturiser.

Once your skin feels comfortable again, reintroduce it slowly — once or twice a week to start.

Do I really need SPF every day?
Yes — SPF is non-negotiable with this routine.

UV exposure can trigger and worsen pigmentation, so without daily SPF, the rest of the routine cannot properly hold. Apply SPF every morning as your final step, even when it is cloudy.

What if my skin reacts to one of the other products?
Stop that one product and continue with the rest of the routine if your skin feels comfortable.

Then get in touch — we’ll help you work out what happened and suggest a swap if needed. We’re not here to sell you something that doesn’t work for your skin.

Can I return or exchange?
Unopened, unused products can be returned within 30 days for a full refund.

If something is not right for your skin, contact us and we’ll help you work out the best next step.

Can I reorder individual products?
Yes — every product in the routine is available on its own, so you can reorder only the products you run out of.

This set includes 8 individual products from trusted Korean skincare brands, carefully selected to work together as one complete AM + PM routine.

Ingredient approach:
This routine is designed to support a more even-looking tone while prioritising barrier strength, comfort and consistency.

Unlike many brightening routines, it avoids vitamin C overload, harsh exfoliating acids and conflicting actives — the kind of layering that can leave skin feeling irritated or make pigmentation-prone skin harder to keep consistent.

The routine is built around TXA, niacinamide, retinal, Centella, Bifida, hydration and daily SPF. Retinal is introduced gradually and paired with calming, barrier-supporting steps, so the skin is supported while you work on the look of dark spots and uneven tone.

The printed Blueprint Cards show you how to build the routine in slowly, including how often to use the retinal step.

As with any new skincare routine, we recommend patch testing first — especially if your skin is sensitive, reactive, or new to retinal. If you know you react to a specific ingredient, please review the individual product pages before purchasing, or contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
