When to use
Once or twice daily after cleansing (start slowly if your skin is sensitive or new to acids).

AM or PM – Toner / first treatment step

1. Cleanse
   Start with a gentle cleanser suited to your skin type.
   Pat skin dry, leaving it slightly damp if you like.
   
2. Apply the toner – choose your method:
   Hands (recommended for sensitive skin):
   Pour a small amount (about a 5–10p coin) into your palms.
   Press and sweep over the face and neck, avoiding direct contact with eyes.
   
   Cotton pad (for more refining action):
   Soak a thin cotton pad and gently swipe from the centre of the face outwards, focusing on areas with dark spots or rough texture.
   
3. Layer if desired
   You can repeat with a second light layer on areas of stubborn pigmentation (cheeks, forehead, jawline).
   
4. Let it absorb
   Give it 1–2 minutes to sink in fully before applying your next steps (serum, moisturiser).
   
5. Daytime = always SPF
   In the morning, follow with a broad-spectrum SPF 30–50 as the last step.
   Brightening + exfoliation without sunscreen will only let new dark spots form.

Tips to get the most out of it

• If you’re using strong retinoids or acid serums, start this toner every other day and watch how your skin responds.
  
• For very sensitive skin, use it in the evenings only, and sandwich with a hydrating toner or barrier cream.
  
• Take progress pictures every 4 weeks – pigmentation fades slowly, and photos help you see the changes.
  

Patch-test first. This is an active toner – dab a little behind your ear or on your jawline and wait 24 hours before full use.
