I've been using this cream for a while and I'm really impressed. A little goes a long way as the tub lasts much longer than I thought it would. It moisturises really well without ever feeling oily. Lightweight, fast-absorbing, and leaves my skin soft and smooth. No breakouts either, which is rare for me. My skin just feels healthy. Would definitely buy again.

Really nice texture—rich but not greasy. my skin feels soft and moisturised in the morning, even when the weather’s dry. no irritation from the retinol either, which is rare for me. would definitely buy again.

A comforting barrier cream from Round Lab's 1025 Dokdo line. Five ceramides, shea butter and three forms of hyaluronic acid help dry, tight or sensitive skin hold on to moisture and feel calm again. There are no strong actives in it, so you can use it morning and night from day one.
What it does
Ceramides, cholesterol and phytosphingosine are the same kinds of lipids that make up your skin's own barrier, so they help it stay soft and keep water in. Glycerin and hyaluronic acid draw in hydration, shea butter softens, and allantoin, panthenol and beta-glucan help skin feel settled and comfortable.
Best for
- Dry or dehydrated skin that feels tight after cleansing
- Sensitive skin that wants a simple, gentle moisturiser
- Skin that feels stressed while using retinoids or acids
- A final step under sunscreen in the morning
Not ideal if
- You want an anti-ageing active: it contains no retinol, retinal, vitamin C or peptides
- You avoid silicones: it contains methyl trimethicone and similar silicones
- Your skin is very oily and you prefer a gel texture
Key ingredients
- Five ceramides (AP, AS, EOP, NP, NS) with cholesterol and phytosphingosine: barrier support
- Hyaluronic acid in three forms, plus glycerin: hydration
- Shea butter: softness and comfort
- Allantoin, panthenol and beta-glucan: soothing
- Sea water, the signature ingredient of the 1025 Dokdo line
Where it goes in your routine
The last skincare step, after toner and serum. In the morning, follow with sunscreen. At night it works well as the moisturiser after a retinal or exfoliating serum.
Why we chose it
We wanted a no-fuss barrier cream for dry, tight or easily upset skin: ceramides plus cholesterol, no fragrance in the ingredient list, and no retinoid or exfoliating acid that needs a slow start. It also pairs naturally with the Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Toner we stock.
Quick facts: 80 ml · Round Lab, made in Korea · No fragrance in the ingredient list · For AM and PM
- Use morning and night as the last skincare step, after toner and serum.
- Smooth a small amount over the face and neck.
- In the morning, follow with sunscreen.
- On nights you use a retinoid or exfoliating acid, use it as the moisturiser afterwards to help skin stay comfortable.
- Avoid broken skin, and stop and seek advice if red spots, swelling or itching appear, as the box cautions. Patch test first if your skin is very reactive.
Water, Glycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Dipropylene Glycol, Hydrogenated Poly(C6-14 Olefin), Cetearyl Alcohol, Methyl Trimethicone, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Methicone, Phenyl Trimethicone, C12-16 Alcohols, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Sea Water, Chondrus Crispus (Irish Moss) Extract, Saccharum Officinarum (Sugarcane) Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Ceramide AP, Ceramide AS, Ceramide EOP, Ceramide NP, Ceramide NS, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Palmitic Acid, Cetearyl Glucoside, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Stearic Acid, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Ethylhexylglycerin, Glyceryl Caprylate, Allantoin, Panthenol, Butylene Glycol, Beta-Glucan, Cholesterol, Phytosphingosine, Disodium EDTA
Good to know
- No fragrance in the ingredient list
- Contains silicones (methyl trimethicone, caprylyl methicone, phenyl trimethicone, polymethylsilsesquioxane)
- No retinoid and no exfoliating acids
- Box caution (Korean, translated): if red spots, swelling or itching appear during or after use, including after direct sunlight on the area, stop and seek advice from a specialist. Do not use on broken skin. Keep out of reach of children and away from direct sunlight.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
It is one of the reasons we chose it: there is no fragrance, essential oil, exfoliating acid or retinoid in the ingredient list. It still depends on your skin, as any new cream can disagree with very reactive skin, so patch test first.
Can oily or combination skin use it?
Combination skin often gets on well with it, especially on drier cheeks. It is a cream with shea butter and silicones, so if your skin is very oily and you prefer a gel texture, it may feel richer than you want.
Does it contain anti-ageing actives?
No. There is no retinol, retinal, vitamin C or peptide in it. We see it as a barrier moisturiser first, and it sits well alongside your treatment serums rather than replacing them.
Can I use it with retinal or exfoliating acids?
Yes. That is one of its best uses: apply it after your retinal or acid serum as the moisturiser, so the active step sits inside a comfortable routine.
Does it contain silicones?
Yes. Methyl trimethicone, caprylyl methicone, phenyl trimethicone and polymethylsilsesquioxane are all on our box. If you avoid silicones, this is not the cream for you.
