  • Soak a cotton pad well and wipe gently along the skin's texture, as the box directs, or press a little into the skin with your hands.
  • For a quick toner mask, Round Lab suggest leaving soaked cotton pads on the skin for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Follow with serum, moisturiser and, in the morning, sunscreen.
  • If you already use strong acids or a retinoid, use it on alternate days at first so you don't over-exfoliate.
  • Patch test first if your skin is sensitive, and stop and consult a specialist if anything abnormal appears, as the box cautions.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

It depends on your skin. Round Lab describe it as unscented and suitable for sensitive skin, and there is no AHA, BHA, fragrance or scrub in it. It does exfoliate, with an enzyme, so if your skin is sensitive, patch test first and start on alternate days. If you only want hydration, Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Hyaluronic Toner has no exfoliating enzyme.

Can I use it alongside retinal or exfoliating acids?

Carefully. It already exfoliates, so if you use strong acids or a retinoid, start it on alternate days or on the evenings you skip them, and step back if skin feels tight or stings.

Can oily skin use it?

Yes. It is watery and light, and our box notes completed clinical tests on facial sebum as well as skin texture. We chose it for hydration and smoother-feeling skin, so don't expect it to mattify on its own.

Does it have a scent?
