TIRTIR SOS Serum (50ml)

• Use after cleansing and toner, as the box directs, morning and evening.
• TIRTIR suggest 2 to 3 drops: spread over the face and let it absorb.
• Follow with moisturiser; very dry skin will want a richer cream on top.
• In the morning, finish with sunscreen.
• It has no retinoid or exfoliating acids, so it can sit in the same routine as those, on evenings your skin feels stressed.
• Patch test first if you react to plant extracts: it contains witch hazel, rosemary, anise and green tea.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

It depends on your skin. TIRTIR list sensitive skin, and there is no fragrance or essential oil in the listed ingredients. It does contain several plant extracts, including witch hazel, rosemary and anise, which some reactive skin dislikes. Patch test first.

Is this an anti-ageing serum?

Not primarily. It contains three peptides and adenosine for the look of fine lines, but we chose it for hydration and calm. If lines are your main goal, a dedicated treatment will do more.

Can oily or blemish-prone skin use it?

Usually, yes. It is a light gel that TIRTIR describe as absorbing in seconds without a greasy finish, and they list acne-prone skin among the skin types it suits. It is a calming, hydrating step, not a breakout treatment.

Can I use it with retinoids or exfoliating acids?

Yes. There is no retinoid or exfoliating acid in the formula, so it adds a hydrating, calming layer on the evenings you use them. If your skin is already burning or peeling, pause the active rather than adding more layers.

What does polyglutamic acid do?

It is a humectant: it holds water at the surface of the skin for a cushioned, hydrated feel. It is the ingredient our box leads with, alongside sodium hyaluronate further down the list.
