Meet your barrier's new best friend. This milky, probiotic-rich essence is like a drink of water for dehydrated, sensitive, or compromised skin — without the weight of a cream.
Formulated with a 3:1:1 ratio of ceramides, cholesterol, and fatty acids to rebuild your barrier from the inside out . Fermented black rice, galactomyces, and bifida gently exfoliate, smooth texture, and boost elasticity .
Clinically proven: 33.7% improvement in moisture levels after 14 days. 21% improvement in skin barrier strength .
The texture is rich and silky but it sinks in seconds. No stickiness. No greasy residue. Just soft, supple, glowing skin.
What it is
This is one of those products that feels like a hug for your skin. If your barrier is feeling depleted — tight, flaky, easily irritated, or sensitised from actives — this essence will help you rebuild without stinging or congestion.
It bridges the gap between a watery toner and a serum: more nourishing than a toner, lighter than a cream. Perfect for layering, and a brilliant choice for anyone who finds most moisturisers too heavy.

How it works
Who it's for
✔️ Dry, dehydrated, or tight-feeling skin
✔️ Compromised barriers (redness, flakiness, sensitivity from actives)
✔️ Reactive skin that needs soothing, not stimulation
✔️ Anyone using retinal, exfoliating acids, or acne treatments (use as a buffer)
✔️ Cream-haters who want hydration without heaviness
✔️ All skin types, including sensitive
Texture & feel
Rich, milky, creamy — but not heavy. It has a slight viscosity that feels cushiony on the skin. Absorbs quickly, leaves a soft, dewy finish. No stickiness, no greasy residue .
A few honest notes
-
Shake before use — the milky texture separates slightly; a quick shake activates the formula
-
Apply with your hands — not a cotton pad. Press gently into the skin for best absorption
-
You can layer it — if your skin feels very dry, apply 2-3 thin layers. Each layer locks in the last
-
Fragrance-free — no essential oils, no masking fragrance. Suitable for scent-sensitive skin
-
Vegan & cruelty-free
Where it fits in your routine
After cleansing and toning, before serums and moisturisers. Morning and evening .
The simple version
- Shake the bottle well before use
- Dispense a few drops (around ½ to 1 pump) into your palms
- Gently press and pat into your face and neck — don't rub
- Allow 30 seconds for absorption before applying your next layer (serum, then moisturiser)
Pro tips for best results
- Apply to slightly damp skin — After toner, your skin should be damp but not wet. This helps the essence absorb more deeply and spread more easily
- Use your hands, not a cotton pad — Cotton pads waste product and can irritate sensitive skin. Your palms create warmth that helps absorption
- Layer for extra hydration — If your skin feels very dry, apply one layer, wait 30 seconds, then apply another. The creamy texture builds beautifully without pilling
- Don't over-pump — A few drops is plenty for face and neck. More product won't give better results; it just sits on top
How to make the most of it
- As a buffer for active nights — Apply this essence before retinal or exfoliating acids. It creates a soothing, hydrating base that reduces irritation without blocking the active ingredients
- As a primer before makeup — Apply a thin layer and let it absorb fully. Customers say it helps foundation "glide on effortlessly" and gives an "instant, natural glow"
- Mixed with foundation — On no-makeup days, mix a drop of essence with your foundation for a sheer, dewy finish
- As a lightweight moisturiser alternative — In humid weather or for oily skin, this essence can replace your moisturiser. It provides enough hydration without the weight of a cream
What not to do
- Don't use a cotton pad — it absorbs too much product and can irritate sensitive skin
- Don't rush — let each layer absorb before applying the next. Patience pays off in hydration
- Don't skip shaking the bottle — the formula separates naturally; shaking activates the milky texture
A note on patch testing
Before using this essence on your full face, patch test first. Apply a small amount behind your ear or along your jawline. Wait 24 hours. If you notice any redness, itching, or irritation, do not use it on your face.
This is especially important if you have very reactive skin or are allergic to ferments (galactomyces/bifida).
A patch test takes 30 seconds. Dealing with a reaction takes weeks. Worth it.
