VT Cosmetics Mild Reedle Shot 50 (50ml)

  • Regular price £19.99
VT Cosmetics Mild Reedle Shot 50 is a 50 ml first-step essence with VT's CICA REEDLE, fine silica particles processed with centella, plus niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, propolis and adenosine. It is the gentlest Reedle Shot level, made to smooth the look of dull, rough texture. What it doesThe CICA REEDLE particles are tiny spicule-like pieces of silica, and you can feel them: a light prickling or tingling as you massage the essence in is how this product behaves, and on this level it is meant to be mild. It is a cosmetic essence, not a microneedling treatment. VT say they support natural renewal and help later skincare absorb. Niacinamide helps even the look of tone, and centella and aloe help skin feel comfortable afterwards; adenosine is in there too, but we choose this essence for texture, not for lines. Why we chose itThe easiest way into the Reedle Shot line: VT make it for beginners, and our box calls it the "All Day Starter", for the first step of daily skincare, morning and evening. Once comfortable, you can move up to VT Reedle Shot 100. What it does

The CICA REEDLE particles are tiny spicule-like pieces of silica, and you can feel them: a light prickling or tingling as you massage the essence in is how this product behaves, and on this level it is meant to be mild.

Why we chose it

The easiest way into the Reedle Shot line: VT make it for beginners, and our box calls it the "All Day Starter", for the first step of daily skincare, morning and evening. Once comfortable, you can move up to VT Reedle Shot 100.

Best for

  • First-time Reedle Shot users
  • Dull or rough-feeling texture
  • Skin that wants a smoother, glowier finish

Not ideal if

  • You have a nut allergy or avoid bee products: it contains macadamia seed oil and propolis
  • Your skin is broken or has just had a professional treatment such as a peel or laser: VT say not to use it then
  • You already use Reedle Shot 100, 300 or 700: VT say do not use them at the same time

Key ingredients

  • CICA REEDLE (silica and centella extract): the tingling spicule-like particles
  • Niacinamide: a more even-looking tone and barrier support
  • Adenosine: a supporting ingredient for the look of fine lines
  • Centella compounds, aloe and sodium hyaluronate: comfort and hydration

Texture and finish

A lightweight essence that massages in easily and leaves a soft finish.

Where it goes in your routine

The first step after cleansing, morning and/or evening. Spread a small amount, avoiding the eyes and lips, massage in, then press with your palms. Follow with moisturiser, and sunscreen by day. Adjust how often you use it to your skin.

What to expect

A light tingle is normal and fades. This is the mildest Reedle Shot level, but it still works by feel, so whether it suits sensitive skin depends on your skin: patch test first. If it burns or stays red, rinse it off and use it less often. Smoother-looking texture builds gradually.

Quick facts: 50 ml · Beginner Reedle level · Light tingle is normal · AM and PM · VT Cosmetics, made in Korea

  • Use as the first step after cleansing, morning, evening or both; our box says to use it at the first step of daily skincare.
  • Spread a small amount over the face, avoiding the eyes and lips, massage until absorbed, then press in with your palms. A light tingle is expected.
  • Follow with moisturiser, and sunscreen by day.
  • Do not use it with LED masks or devices, on broken skin, after a peel or laser, or alongside Reedle Shot 100, 300 or 700.
  • Our suggestion: while you are getting used to it, keep retinoids and exfoliating acids to other days, so you can tell how your skin is handling it.
  • Patch test first. If it burns or redness lasts, rinse it off with water and use it less often.

Good to know

  • Spicule-like silica particles cause a light tingle
  • Contains macadamia seed oil (nut-derived) and propolis (bee-derived)
  • No fragrance in the listed ingredients
  • No retinoid and no exfoliating acids

Is the tingling normal?

Yes. The fine silica particles give a light prickling or tingling feel as you massage it in, and that fades. On the 50 it is meant to be mild. Burning, or redness that lasts, is not what you want: rinse it off with water and use it less often, or stop if it keeps happening.

Is this microneedling?

No. It is a cosmetic essence with fine spicule-like particles that you can feel on the skin. It is not a substitute for a professional treatment, and we don't sell it as one.

Can sensitive skin use it?

It depends on your skin. This is the mildest Reedle Shot level and the one we suggest if your skin reacts easily, but it still works by feel, so it is never a completely calm step. Patch test first; we would start on a few days a week, and use it less often or pause if it stings, flakes or reddens. If your skin is broken or has just had a peel or laser, wait.

How is it different from Reedle Shot 100?

The 50 is VT's mildest level and our box calls it the All Day Starter. Reedle Shot 100 gives a more noticeable feel. Our suggestion is to start here and move up once your skin is comfortable. VT say not to use two Reedle Shot levels at the same time.

Can I use it morning and evening?

VT make it for morning and evening use, and our box describes it as the first step of daily skincare. If the tingle feels like a lot at first, once a day is fine while your skin gets used to it. Wear sunscreen by day.

Does it contain nut or bee ingredients?

Yes. It contains macadamia seed oil (nut-derived) and propolis (bee-derived), so it is not suitable if you have a nut allergy or avoid bee products, and it is not vegan.
