  • A few drops cover the face. Spread it evenly, as our box directs, or pat it in, as Beauty of Joseon suggest.
  • Keep the dropper from touching your skin, as Beauty of Joseon advise, so the bottle stays clean.
  • Follow with moisturiser. In the morning, finish with sunscreen.
  • With no retinoid or exfoliating acids, it is an easy hydrating layer on nights you also use stronger actives.

Is this a firming or anti-wrinkle serum?

It is a hydrating serum first. Adenosine and niacinamide are there for the look of fine lines and an even tone, but there is no retinoid. If deeper lines are your main concern, this is not the one we would choose on its own.

Is it the same as the Revive Eye Serum?

No. The Revive Eye Serum (Ginseng + Retinal) contains retinal and is made for the eye area. This face serum has no retinoid.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

It can be. Beauty of Joseon describe it as fragrance-free and alcohol-free, and there is no retinoid or exfoliating acid. It does contain a number of plant extracts, so patch test first if your skin reacts easily.

Can oily or combination skin use it?

Usually, yes. The texture is light and almost water-like and layers without heaviness. If your skin is oily and also congested, patch test on a small area first.

Is it vegan?

No. It contains snail secretion filtrate, which is animal-derived. If you avoid animal-derived ingredients, SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule is a PETA vegan alternative, per the brand.
