No.9+ NAD+ Retinol Volumetox Eye Cream (10ml)

NUMBUZIN No.9+ NAD+ Retinol Volumetox Eye Cream is a rich Korean eye treatment designed for fine lines, loss of firmness, dry crepey texture and tired-looking under-eyes. The formula combines retinol with NAD+, niacinamide, ceramide NP, hyaluronic acid, adenosine and an extensive peptide complex, while macadamia oil, olive oil and shea butter give the delicate eye area the richer moisturising base it often needs. Retinol is the ingredient doing much of the heavy lifting when it comes to visible ageing. With consistent use, it can support skin renewal and collagen production, helping improve the appearance of fine lines and uneven texture over time. Around it, niacinamide adds brightening and barrier support, while ceramide, cholesterol and hydrating ingredients help keep the eye area comfortable. Peptides, NAD+ and adenosine complement the formula's firming and smoothing focus. This is therefore much more than a basic moisturising eye cream — but it is also a product to introduce sensibly. The skin around your eyes is thinner and often less tolerant than the rest of your face, so more product and more frequent use do not automatically mean faster results. Especially suited to • Fine lines and crow's feet • Dry or crepey-looking under-eyes • Loss of firmness or elasticity around the eyes • Tired-looking under-eyes • Uneven tone around the eye area • Under-eyes that need both treatment and richer moisturising care • Anyone wanting to introduce retinol specifically around the eye area Why you'll love it • Retinol-focused eye treatment for fine lines and uneven texture • NAD+ and a large peptide complex complement its well-ageing formula • Niacinamide supports a brighter, more even-looking eye area • Ceramide NP + cholesterol provide useful barrier support • Hyaluronic acid helps hydrate and temporarily plump dehydration lines • Rich, cushioning cream texture particularly suited to drier under-eyes Texture A rich, pearlescent cream with more cushion than a lightweight eye serum. The formula contains macadamia oil, olive oil, shea butter and other emollients, giving it enough richness to soften dry under-eye skin while silicones help it spread smoothly without unnecessary pulling around the delicate eye area. Good to know First: Volumetox is a product name — this is not Botox and it cannot replace injectable treatment. NUMBUZIN describes the product as improving volume and elasticity around hollow-looking under-eyes, but skincare cannot physically replace lost fat or structural volume beneath the eyes. What a product like this can realistically do is improve hydration, smooth fine lines and help the skin look firmer and plumper. When dry, thin under-eye skin becomes better hydrated, hollows can sometimes look slightly less obvious — but an eye cream cannot fill a tear trough. The same applies to dark circles. Dark circles may come from pigmentation, visible blood vessels, puffiness, structural shadowing or a mixture of all four. Niacinamide may help when pigmentation contributes to the darkness. Better hydration can also make thin, tired-looking skin appear healthier. But if your darkness is mainly a shadow created by under-eye hollowness, skincare cannot completely remove it. Another important point: NUMBUZIN does not currently disclose the percentage of retinol in this 10ml formula. We would therefore not describe it as “high strength”, “low strength” or give it a percentage based on guesses from the ingredient list. What matters is that it contains retinol and should be treated like a retinoid product: introduce it gradually, watch your skin's response and use SPF consistently during the day.

Especially suited to

• Fine lines and crow's feet
• Dry or crepey-looking under-eyes
• Loss of firmness or elasticity around the eyes
• Tired-looking under-eyes
• Uneven tone around the eye area
• Under-eyes that need both treatment and richer moisturising care
• Anyone wanting to introduce retinol specifically around the eye area

Why you'll love it

• Retinol-focused eye treatment for fine lines and uneven texture
• NAD+ and a large peptide complex complement its well-ageing formula
• Niacinamide supports a brighter, more even-looking eye area
• Ceramide NP + cholesterol provide useful barrier support
• Hyaluronic acid helps hydrate and temporarily plump dehydration lines
• Rich, cushioning cream texture particularly suited to drier under-eyes

Texture

A rich, pearlescent cream with more cushion than a lightweight eye serum.

The formula contains macadamia oil, olive oil, shea butter and other emollients, giving it enough richness to soften dry under-eye skin while silicones help it spread smoothly without unnecessary pulling around the delicate eye area.

Good to know

First: Volumetox is a product name — this is not Botox and it cannot replace injectable treatment.

Use in your evening routine.

After cleansing, toner and serum, apply a small amount around both eyes.

Gently tap the cream into the under-eye area and around the orbital bone rather than rubbing or pulling the skin.

Avoid getting the cream directly into the eyes or applying too close to the lash line.

Follow with moisturiser if needed.

If you are new to retinol around the eyes, start with 2–3 evenings per week and gradually increase frequency only if the skin remains comfortable.

Use SPF every morning while using retinoids.

-

Tips to get the most out of it

• Use a very small amount. The eye area does not need the same quantity of retinol product as the rest of your face

• Start 2–3 nights per week rather than immediately using it every evening

• If the eye area becomes persistently dry, red, sore or flaky, reduce frequency or stop temporarily — irritation is not evidence that retinol is “working harder”

• Apply to dry skin if you are particularly sensitive. Damp skin can increase penetration of skincare products and may make retinoids harder to tolerate

• Avoid deliberately layering strong exfoliating acids or another retinoid around the eye area on the same evening

• If your facial retinol or retinal already reaches close to your eyes, you may not need a separate retinol eye cream as well. More vitamin A is not automatically better

• For dry under-eyes, the ceramide- and oil-rich base can be useful, but you can still layer a simple moisturiser over it if required

• If dark circles are your main concern, identify whether they are pigmentation, puffiness or structural shadows before expecting a brightening eye cream to solve them

• Give retinol time. Fine lines and firmness are long-term skincare concerns, so judge the product over consistent use rather than after a few nights

-

Patch-test first! The eye area is particularly delicate. Introduce slowly and discontinue use if you experience persistent burning, swelling, significant peeling or irritation.

Avoid topical retinoids during pregnancy. If you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or unsure whether a retinoid is appropriate for you, speak to your healthcare professional.

What is NUMBUZIN No.9+ NAD+ Retinol Volumetox Eye Cream best for?

Its clearest role is treating visible signs of ageing around the eyes — particularly fine lines, crow's feet, dry crepey texture and loss of firmness.

NUMBUZIN also positions it for dark circles and puffiness, while the formula contains niacinamide, retinol, NAD+, ceramide and peptides.

-

Is this retinol or retinal?

This 10ml version contains retinol.

NUMBUZIN has subsequently introduced a different 20ml No.9 NAD+ Retinal Volumetox Eye Cream, which contains retinal instead.

They are separate products, so make sure you are comparing like with like when reading reviews or ingredient information online.

-

What percentage of retinol does it contain?

NUMBUZIN does not currently state a retinol percentage for the 10ml Retinol Volumetox Eye Cream on its official product page.

For that reason, we won't invent one.

A percentage can be useful information, but the finished formulation and how well your skin tolerates it matter too.

-

Can beginners use this eye cream?

Yes, but introduce it gradually.

You don't need previous retinoid experience to use an eye retinol, but the eye area is delicate and can become irritated more easily than other areas of the face.

Start 2–3 evenings per week, use a small amount and increase only if your skin remains comfortable.

-

Does Volumetox fill hollow under-eyes?

Not literally.

No topical eye cream can replace structural volume or lost fat beneath the eyes.

Hydration can make thin, dry skin look temporarily plumper, while retinol can support smoother and firmer-looking skin over time. Those changes may make hollowness appear less pronounced, but they are not equivalent to physically filling a tear trough.

-

Will it get rid of dark circles?

It depends on what is causing them.

Niacinamide may help if pigmentation contributes to the darkness, while better hydration can improve the overall appearance of tired under-eyes.

But dark circles caused predominantly by visible blood vessels or structural shadowing cannot be completely corrected by an eye cream.

-

Will it help eye bags and puffiness?

The formula contains Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5, a peptide commonly used in eye-area products aimed at puffiness, and NUMBUZIN positions the product for puffy under-eyes.

But persistent eye bags can also result from genetics and structural changes around the eye area.

Skincare can improve the condition and appearance of the skin; it cannot remove structural fat pads.

-

Can I use it every night?

Potentially, once your eye area has built tolerance.

We would not begin that way.

Start 2–3 nights per week and increase gradually. If your eyes remain comfortable with less frequent use, there is no requirement to force yourself toward nightly application.

Consistency without irritation is the goal.

-

Can I use it with the NUMBUZIN No.9 NAD+ Collagen Eye Patches?

Yes, but we would not automatically place the patches directly over freshly applied retinol.

NUMBUZIN recommends combining the products, but occluding a retinoid underneath a patch may make the treatment more intense for sensitive skin.

A simpler approach is:

Morning or non-retinol evening: NUMBUZIN Eye Patches

Retinol evening: NUMBUZIN Retinol Eye Cream

That way you still get the benefits of both without unnecessarily increasing the chance of irritation.

-

Can I use it if I already use retinol or retinal on my face?

Possibly — but check where your facial retinoid is being applied.

If you already bring your retinoid close to the orbital area, adding another dedicated retinol product may simply increase irritation.

If you intentionally keep your facial retinoid away from the eyes, a specially formulated eye product can provide a controlled way of introducing vitamin A to that area.

-

Can I use it with Vitamin C?

Yes, but you don't need to put both directly around your eyes in the same routine.

An easy setup is:

Morning: Vitamin C if tolerated → moisturiser → SPF

Evening: NUMBUZIN Retinol Eye Cream

Keeping stronger actives separated can also make it easier to identify the cause if irritation occurs.

-

Can I use it with AHA or BHA?

We would avoid intentionally layering exfoliating acids and retinol around the delicate eye area on the same night.

If you use acids elsewhere on your face, simply keep them away from the immediate eye area.

-

What does NAD+ do in this eye cream?

NAD+, or Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide, is a coenzyme naturally involved in cellular energy and repair processes.

It has become an increasingly popular longevity-focused skincare ingredient, but research into ordinary topical NAD+ skincare is still developing.

We therefore view it as an interesting supporting component rather than tell you that NAD+ alone will reverse skin ageing.

The retinol, niacinamide, hydration and overall formulation give us much more established reasons to consider this eye cream.

-

Why are there so many peptides?

NUMBUZIN includes an extensive peptide blend containing ingredients such as Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Copper Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 and Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4.

Peptides can complement a formula aimed at smoother, firmer-looking skin.

But “50 peptides” should not be interpreted as 50 times stronger than a product containing one peptide.

The amounts used and the complete formulation matter much more than simply counting peptide names on an ingredient list.

-

Is this suitable for sensitive skin?

Some sensitive skin types may tolerate it, but this is not a product we would automatically recommend through a Sensitive Skin filter.

It contains retinol and is designed to influence skin renewal.

If your eye area is already reactive, peeling, experiencing eczema or struggling with its barrier, allow it to settle before introducing a retinoid.

-

Can I use this during pregnancy?

We recommend avoiding topical retinoids during pregnancy.

UK guidance advises against topical retinoid use during pregnancy and when planning pregnancy.

If you're unsure about your individual circumstances, ask your doctor, pharmacist or other healthcare professional before use.

Key Ingredients Explained

Retinol – A vitamin A derivative with considerably stronger evidence behind it for visible signs of ageing than most cosmetic anti-ageing ingredients. With consistent use it can support skin renewal and collagen production, helping improve fine lines and texture over time. NUMBUZIN does not disclose the percentage used in this 10ml formula.

Niacinamide – Appears high in the ingredient list and supports several functions relevant to the eye area, including barrier function and more even-looking pigmentation.

NAD+ (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide) – A naturally occurring coenzyme involved in cellular energy and repair processes. It is an interesting emerging skincare ingredient, but topical NAD+ research remains much newer than the evidence behind retinoids.

Ceramide NP + Cholesterol + Hydrogenated Lecithin – A particularly useful combination in a retinol eye product. These skin-lipid-related ingredients help support the barrier and reduce the formula's reliance on retinol alone.

Peptide Complex – A very large group of peptides supports the formula's smoothing and firming positioning. These include Copper Tripeptide-1, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 and multiple palmitoylated peptides. Think of them as supporting ingredients rather than assuming the sheer number of peptides determines efficacy.

Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5 – A peptide frequently used in eye products focused on puffiness and the appearance of tired under-eyes.

Hyaluronic Acid, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid & Sodium Hyaluronate – Humectant ingredients that attract water and help temporarily plump dry, crepey-looking skin and dehydration lines.

Macadamia Oil, Olive Oil & Shea Butter – Rich emollients that help soften and cushion the delicate eye area, explaining why this feels more nourishing than a lightweight retinol serum.

Adenosine – Widely used in Korean well-ageing skincare to support smoother-looking skin and complement retinoid and peptide formulas.

Resveratrol & Cocoa Extract – Antioxidant-supporting ingredients included within the broader formula.

Ingredients may change at the manufacturer's discretion. Always check the packaging if you have a known ingredient sensitivity.
