100% authentic K‑beauty- Hand-picked by our founder
Purito Wonder Releaf Centella Cream Unscented is a calming moisturiser with Korean centella asiatica extract (29,891 ppm), ceramide NP, squalane and niacinamide. It soothes skin that feels sensitive or reactive, helps soften the look of redness, and keeps skin supple and comfortable through the day.
What it does
Centella extract helps skin that feels irritated feel calmer; our box also lists three of its compounds, madecassic acid, asiaticoside and asiatic acid, in small amounts (87, 196 and 174 ppm, each under 0.02%). Ceramide NP and squalane support the moisture barrier and slow water loss, while niacinamide helps even tone. Macadamia oil, shea butter and small amounts of rice germ and coconut oils give it a cushioning feel.
Why we chose it
We chose it as a calming everyday moisturiser for sensitive, easily irritated skin, not a treatment for lines or dark spots: it is the cream of Purito's unscented Centella line, and it finishes a routine that starts with Wonder Releaf Centella Serum Unscented.
Best for
- Sensitive or easily irritated skin
- The look of redness
- Normal to dry skin that wants comfort
- Skin that feels stressed after retinoids or acids
- A simple, fragrance-free daily moisturiser
Not ideal if
- You have a nut allergy: it contains macadamia seed oil, shea butter and coconut oil. Purito Oat In Calming Gel Cream lists none of these
- Your skin is very oily and you prefer a gel: the Oat In Calming Gel Cream is lighter
Key ingredients
- Centella asiatica extract (29,891 ppm, about 3%): helps skin feel calm and comfortable
- Madecassic acid (87 ppm), asiaticoside (196 ppm) and asiatic acid (174 ppm): centella compounds in small amounts
- Ceramide NP: supports the moisture barrier
- Squalane: helps prevent moisture loss
- Niacinamide: helps even tone
Texture and finish
Purito describe it as rich but lightweight. It massages in easily and leaves skin silky and supple.
Where it goes in your routine
The moisturiser step, after serum, morning and evening. Massage a moderate amount into the skin with your fingertips until absorbed, as Purito direct, and follow with sunscreen in the morning. On sensitive days, Purito suggest using more than usual as a massage cream.
What to expect
Expect comfort and softness first, rather than a dramatic change. Any softening in the look of redness is gradual and depends on steady daily use.
Quick facts: 50 ml · Centella 29,891 ppm · Ceramide NP, squalane · Fragrance-free (brand-stated) · AM and PM · Purito, made in Korea
- Use as the last skincare step: after serum, before sunscreen in the morning, or last at night.
- Massage a moderate amount into the skin with your fingertips until absorbed, as Purito direct.
- On days your skin feels particularly sensitive, Purito suggest using more than usual and massaging it in like a massage cream.
- There is no retinoid or exfoliating acid in it, so it sits comfortably in a routine that includes them.
- Avoid it if you have a nut allergy: it contains macadamia seed oil, shea butter and coconut oil. Otherwise, patch test first if your skin reacts easily.
Aqua/Water, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Squalane, Butylene Glycol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Centella Asiatica Extract (29,891 ppm), Niacinamide, 1,2-Hexanediol, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Behenic Acid, Betaine, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Tromethamine, Palmitic Acid, Stearic Acid, Candida Bombicola/Glucose/Methyl Rapeseedate Ferment, Caprylyl Glycol, Carbomer, Xanthan Gum, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Germ Oil, Sodium Carbomer, Adenosine, Madecassic Acid (87 ppm), Asiaticoside (196 ppm), Ceramide NP, Phytosphingosine, Asiatic Acid (174 ppm), Tremella Fuciformis (Mushroom) Extract, Perilla Ocymoides Seed Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Disodium Phosphate, Polysorbate 60, Beta-Glucan, Sodium Phosphate
Good to know
- Contains macadamia seed oil, shea butter and coconut oil (nut-derived)
- Fragrance-free and essential-oil free, according to Purito
- No retinoid and no exfoliating acids
- Purito describe it as vegan and cruelty-free
- Our box describes it as a skin-soothing facial cream
Is it fragrance-free?
Yes. Purito say their unscented products are free of fragrance and essential oils, and none is on our box's ingredient list. Purito note you may notice a faint natural scent from the ingredients themselves.
How much centella is in it?
Our box lists centella extract at 29,891 ppm, which is about 3%, plus three centella compounds in very small amounts. You are buying it as a comforting barrier moisturiser, with centella as one part of that, not as a concentrated centella treatment.
Will it help with redness?
It can help soften the look of redness and make skin feel calmer, which is what we chose it for. If redness is persistent, burning or spreading, it is worth speaking to a pharmacist or GP rather than relying on a moisturiser.
Can oily skin use it?
It depends on your skin. Purito describe it as rich but lightweight, and it contains macadamia oil, squalane and shea butter, so it suits normal to dry skin best. If your skin is very oily and you prefer a gel, Purito Oat In Calming Gel Cream is lighter.
I have a nut allergy. Can I use it?
No. It contains macadamia seed oil, shea butter and coconut oil. Purito Oat In Calming Gel Cream lists none of these.
Can I use it with retinoids or exfoliating acids?
Yes. There is no retinoid or exfoliating acid in it. Behenic, palmitic and stearic acid are fatty acids that help the texture, not exfoliants. That is why we suggest it for skin that feels stressed after retinoids or acids.
