Does it exfoliate?

No. There are no exfoliating acids in it, which is why it can be used morning and evening alongside other steps. If rough texture is your main concern, add an occasional exfoliating step separately.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

It can be. SKIN1004 list it for sensitive skin, our box says a skin irritation test was completed, and the list on our box has no fragrance, essential oils, acids or retinoid. It does contain several plant extracts (centella, aloe, chamomile), so patch test first if your skin reacts easily.

Is it a firming serum because of the peptides?

No. We chose it for the look of pores, shine and light hydration. The nine peptides support that, and SKIN1004 say they help the look of elasticity, but if firmness and fine lines are your main concern, choose a product built for that.

Can I use it with a retinoid or BHA?

Yes, generally. It has no acids or retinoid of its own, so it does not add to the strength of those steps. Introduce one new product at a time so you can tell how your skin responds.
