Is SPF included?
Yes — the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun SPF50+ PA++++ is step 4 of your daily routine. Most beginner sets leave sun protection out; we think that's the one step a first routine can't be without.

Is this a complete routine?
It's your complete daily beginner routine: four steps covering cleansing, calming, moisturising and protection, plus your first treatment mask. One honest note: the cleansing oil is your evening cleanser — in the morning, a water rinse is all most skin needs. If you prefer a separate morning gel cleanser, every product in our shop is available individually and we're happy to recommend one.

Do I use all products every day?
The four core steps, yes — that's the point of them. The mask, no: it's a treatment for occasional evenings, starting once your skin has settled in. Your cards show the exact rhythm.

When do I use the mask?
Use the included Biodance mask as your first treatment night once your skin feels settled into the routine — usually after the first week. That night it takes the place of your evening cream. Your Start Here cards walk you through it step by step.

Why is there only one mask?
Because it's your first treatment, not a weekly obligation. One mask lets you experience a proper Korean treatment night without committing to a box of them before you know your skin loves it. If you do love it (most people do), Biodance masks are available individually and in multi-packs on our store — that's the point at which a once-or-twice-a-week rhythm makes sense.

Is this suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes — it's one of the gentlest routines we carry. No exfoliants, no brightening acids, no retinoids, and the moisturiser is fragrance-free. Centella asiatica, the hero of step 2, is one of the most researched calming ingredients in Korean skincare. The onboarding plan introduces everything gradually, and we always recommend patch testing if you're reactive.

Is this good for acne-prone skin?
If your skin is mildly breakout-prone, the barrier-first approach can genuinely help — irritation and over-cleansing make many breakouts worse. But if you need active acne treatment, this isn't the right set: it deliberately contains no treatment actives. Contact us and we'll point you in the right direction.

Is this good for pigmentation?
It's the right foundation — calm, hydrated, protected skin (daily SPF matters enormously for pigmentation) — but it isn't a pigmentation treatment routine. If dark spots or uneven tone are your main concern, the Dark Spot Blueprint is built specifically for that.

Can I use it if I already own some skincare?
Yes. The simplest approach: run Start Here on its own for the first two weeks so you know exactly how your skin responds, then reintroduce old favourites one at a time. The cards' one-change-at-a-time rule exists for precisely this.

How long should I use it before adding actives?
Until your skin feels consistently calm, hydrated and comfortable — for most people, around four weeks. There's no rush; the foundation is what makes actives work later. When you're ready, the Glass Skin Blueprint is the natural next step, built on the same barrier-first logic. (You'll already own two of its steps.)

What order do I use everything in?
AM: rinse → Centella Ampoule → Black Rice Cream → Relief Sun SPF. PM: Ginseng Cleansing Oil → Centella Ampoule → Black Rice Cream. Mask night: cleanse → ampoule → mask instead of cream. And you never have to memorise that — it's printed on your cards.

What if my skin reacts to one of the products?
Stop that product and let your skin settle for a few days. Every product in this set has been chosen for its gentle formulation but skin is personal. Contact us and we'll help you identify what's happening and find a suitable swap. We're not here to sell you something that doesn't work for you.

Can I buy individual products when one runs out?
Yes. Every product in the set is available individually on our store. When one runs out before the others, just reorder that one.

What comes after Start Here?
Once your skin feels consistently calm, hydrated, and comfortable — usually around week four — you're ready to build on that foundation. The Glass Skin Blueprint is the natural next step. It introduces gentle brightening and a more complete AM + PM system, built on the same barrier-first logic.

Are these products vegan and cruelty-free?
The Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Cleansing Oil, Skin1004 Centella Ampoule, and Haruharu Black Rice Cream are all vegan and cruelty-free. The Biodance Bio-Collagen mask contains collagen extract which is animal-derived — if this is a concern, contact us before ordering.

Are these products free from parabens and sulfates?
Yes. All four products are free from parabens, sulfates, and synthetic fragrance in the moisturiser. For the full INCI ingredient lists, refer to the individual product pages on our store.

Can I return or exchange?
Unopened and unused products can be returned within 30 days for a full refund. If you've started using the routine and something isn't agreeing with your skin, contact us. We want this to work for you.

The core daily routine contains no exfoliating acids, no strong retinoids and no harsh active treatment steps. The moisturiser is fragrance-free, and the routine is designed to introduce skin to Korean skincare gradually rather than overwhelming it all at once.

The Biodance mask is included as your first treatment mask and should be introduced once your skin feels settled, usually after the first week.
