VT Reedle Shot 100 2-Step Mask is a Korean two-step treatment designed to smooth rough-looking texture, refine the appearance of pores and follow the Reedle treatment with an intensive hit of hydration and barrier-supporting care.
Step 1 contains VT's Reedle Shot 100 formula, using microscopic CICA REEDLE™ particles alongside niacinamide, Centella, sodium hyaluronate, adenosine and propolis.
Step 2 follows immediately with a hydrating sheet mask containing glycerin, niacinamide, betaine, Centella, ceramide NP, cholesterol, squalane, shea butter and hyaluronic acid.
The clever part is the sequencing.
Instead of using Reedle Shot and then wondering what to layer over it, VT has already paired the texture-focused first step with a moisturising and soothing second step. That makes this a convenient way to experience Reedle Shot 100 without building an entire routine around it.
You may feel a light prickling or tingling sensation during Step 1. That sensation comes from the Reedle technology and does not mean you need to rub harder or apply more product.
Especially suited to
• Rough or uneven-looking skin texture
• Enlarged-looking pores
• Dull skin needing a smoother, fresher appearance
• Skin that feels slightly congested or less refined
• Anyone curious about VT Reedle Shot but not ready to buy the full-size treatment
• Reedle Shot beginners wanting the 100-level formula
• Pre-event skin prep when you want smoother-looking, well-hydrated skin
Why you'll love it
• Complete 2-step Reedle Shot 100 treatment in one single-use mask
• Step 1 targets texture and the appearance of pores
• Step 2 follows with hydration and barrier-supportive ingredients
• Centella, niacinamide and hyaluronic acid feature across the treatment
• Ceramide NP + cholesterol + squalane support the moisturising second step
• An easy way to try Reedle Shot 100 before committing to the full-size bottle
Texture
Step 1 has a lightweight serum-like texture that spreads easily over clean skin.
You may notice a fine prickling sensation as you apply and press the product into the skin.
Step 2 is a soft, essence-soaked sheet mask that sits over the Reedle treatment for 10–20 minutes, adding a much more cooling and hydrating second stage.
Good to know
First: Reedle Shot is not the same thing as traditional microneedling.
There are no metal needles puncturing your skin.
VT's CICA REEDLE™ technology uses microscopic silica-based particles that create the distinctive prickling sensation associated with the range.
The brand positions them as a way of improving skin texture and helping follow-up skincare absorb more effectively.
That sensation should be treated as exactly that — a sensation.
More tingling does not mean better results.
Do not massage aggressively, scrub or keep adding extra product because you want to “feel it working”.
A mild temporary prickling sensation can be expected. Persistent burning, significant redness, swelling or discomfort is a reason to remove the product and stop using it.
Another important distinction: Reedle Shot 100 is the entry-level strength within the standard Reedle Shot range.
VT's main levels are:
Reedle Shot 50 — entry/daily level
Reedle Shot 100 — more intensive
Reedle Shot 300 — advanced intensive care
Starting with 100 makes much more sense if you do not yet know how your skin responds to this type of product.
And although the mask is marketed around pores, skincare cannot permanently open, close or erase pores.
Smoother texture, hydration and reduced surface build-up can make pores look less prominent, but pore size is also influenced by genetics, oil production and skin structure.
Use in the evening after cleansing.
Step 1
Open the Reedle Shot 100 sachet and apply the treatment evenly over clean, dry skin.
Gently press and pat the product into the skin until absorbed.
Do not aggressively rub or massage.
A light prickling sensation may occur.
Step 2
Once Step 1 has absorbed, unfold the sheet mask and place it evenly over the face.
Leave on for approximately 10–20 minutes.
Remove the mask and gently pat the remaining essence into the skin until absorbed.
Follow with moisturiser if your skin needs additional comfort.

Tips to get the most out of it
• Use this as an evening treatment rather than squeezing it into an already active-heavy morning routine
• If this is your first Reedle Shot experience, keep the rest of that evening simple — you do not need acids, retinal and another strong treatment on top
• Do not scrub or massage harder because the product tingles. Gentle pressing is enough
• Do not use Reedle Shot with LED masks, microcurrent devices or other beauty devices during the same treatment
• Avoid using immediately after professional skin treatments such as lasers, peels, microneedling or procedures that have already sensitised the skin
• Do not apply over broken, wounded or actively irritated skin
• If you already use VT Reedle Shot 300 or 700, do not use them on the same day as Reedle Shot 100
• Use SPF the following morning. Daily sun protection is especially sensible whenever your routine focuses on texture and skin renewal
• If you are introducing retinol or retinal at the same time, alternate nights initially rather than starting both together
• The mask already gives you a substantial hydrating second step, so you do not need to layer five serums underneath it
-
Patch-test first! Reedle products are designed to create a noticeable skin sensation. If your skin is highly reactive, test on a small area before full use and discontinue if you experience persistent burning, swelling or significant irritation.
What exactly is VT Reedle Shot 100 2-Step Mask?
It is a single-use two-part treatment.
Step 1: Reedle Shot 100 treatment
Step 2: Hydrating and barrier-supportive sheet mask
You apply the Reedle Shot first, allow it to absorb, then immediately follow with the included mask.
-
Is Reedle Shot 100 suitable for beginners?
Yes — if you want to try Reedle Shot, 100 is the sensible place to begin.
VT positions 100 as the entry-level density in the standard range, with 300 and 700 becoming progressively more intensive.
The 2-Step Mask is particularly useful because you can experience the treatment once before deciding whether you want the full-size Reedle Shot 100.
-
Is this actual microneedling?
No.
Traditional microneedling uses physical needles to puncture the skin.
Reedle Shot is a topical cosmetic product using microscopic silica-based spicule particles.
It can create a needle-like prickling sensation, which explains the “Reedle” name, but it should not be confused with a professional microneedling procedure.
-
Why does Reedle Shot tingle?
The characteristic prickling comes from VT's microscopic CICA REEDLE™ particles.
A mild temporary sensation can be normal.
It should not become a competition to see how much tingling you can tolerate.
Persistent burning, swelling or significant irritation means your skin is not comfortable with the treatment.
-
Does Reedle Shot hurt?
Most users should expect more of a prickling or fine tingling sensation rather than significant pain.
Sensitivity varies considerably from person to person.
If you are extremely sensitive to tactile skincare sensations, this may not be the treatment for you.
-
Does Reedle Shot exfoliate the skin?
Not in the same way as an AHA or BHA.
Glycolic acid and salicylic acid work chemically.
Reedle Shot instead uses microscopic particles within a topical formula and is positioned around improving texture and the delivery of follow-up skincare.
That is why we would not simply describe it as another exfoliating acid.
-
Does it shrink pores?
It can help skin texture and pores look smoother and more refined, but skincare cannot permanently shrink pores out of existence.
Pores often look more visible when skin is oily, congested, dehydrated or uneven in texture.
Improving those surrounding factors can make them appear less noticeable.
-
Will it remove blackheads?
This would not be our first choice specifically for blackheads.
If persistent blackheads and clogged pores are your dominant concern, a properly formulated salicylic acid treatment has a more direct role because BHA is oil-soluble and can work within oily pore build-up.
Reedle Shot makes more sense when overall texture and pore appearance are the main concerns.
-
Can I use Reedle Shot 100 with retinol or retinal?
Eventually, potentially yes — but we would not introduce them together.
VT recommends alternating nights when Reedle Shot is introduced alongside stronger actives such as retinol.
For example:
Monday — Reedle Shot
Tuesday — recovery/hydration
Wednesday — retinol or retinal
Thursday — recovery
Once you know how your skin responds to both products, you can adjust your routine.
-
Can I use it with Vitamin C?
You can use Vitamin C within the same overall skincare routine.
A simple approach is:
Morning — Vitamin C + moisturiser + SPF
Evening — Reedle Shot treatment
That keeps your routine easy to monitor and avoids unnecessarily stacking treatments.
-
Can I use it with AHA or BHA?
We would not deliberately combine a strong exfoliating acid with your first Reedle Shot treatment.
Use them on separate days initially.
The fact that two ingredients are technically usable within the same routine does not mean your skin will appreciate receiving every active at once.
-
Can I use azelaic acid with Reedle Shot?
They can exist within the same overall routine, but again, we would separate them while you are learning your skin's tolerance.
For example:
Reedle night
Recovery night
Azelaic acid night
There is no benefit in making a first Reedle experience unnecessarily complicated.
-
Can I use a skincare device after Reedle Shot?
No — VT specifically advises against this.
Avoid LED masks and other skincare devices that create heat, light or additional stimulation when using Reedle Shot.
The brand warns that combining those forms of stimulation may increase irritation.
-
Can I use Reedle Shot after microneedling, laser or a facial treatment?
Not immediately.
VT specifically advises against using Reedle Shot directly after dermatological procedures.
If your skin has recently undergone microneedling, laser, peeling or another treatment that leaves it sensitised, allow it to fully recover and follow the advice of your treating professional before introducing Reedle Shot.
-
Can sensitive skin use Reedle Shot 100?
VT positions 100 as the lowest standard Reedle density and says it can be an entry point for sensitive skin.
We would still be more cautious.
If your skin is currently burning, peeling, experiencing eczema, highly reactive or struggling with its barrier, this is not the moment to experiment with a prickling texture treatment.
Sensitive skin and compromised skin are not the same thing.
-
Can I use this mask every day?
The full-size Reedle Shot 100 is designed by VT for frequent use once skin has adjusted.
This particular product, however, is a single-use two-step mask.
Think of it as an occasional complete treatment or an opportunity to try Reedle Shot 100 rather than something you need to use every night.
-
Should I moisturise after the mask?
If your skin feels comfortable after Step 2, you may not need a particularly heavy additional layer.
If your skin is dry or tends to lose moisture overnight, follow with a simple moisturiser.
The sheet mask itself already contains glycerin, betaine, squalane, ceramide NP, cholesterol and other conditioning ingredients.
-
Can I use it before an event?
Potentially, but do not make the night before an important event your first-ever Reedle Shot experiment.
Try it on an ordinary evening first so you know how your skin responds.
If your skin tolerates Reedle Shot comfortably, the combination of texture-focused treatment plus hydration can make it a nice pre-event option.

Key Ingredients Explained
CICA REEDLE™ / Silica – The microscopic particles responsible for Reedle Shot's characteristic prickling sensation. They form the core of VT's texture-focused delivery technology. They should not be confused with the metal needles used in professional microneedling.
Centella Asiatica + Madecassoside + Asiaticoside + Madecassic Acid + Asiatic Acid – A concentrated group of Centella-derived ingredients used throughout the VT range to support skin comfort alongside the more unusual Reedle sensation.
Niacinamide – Present high in both formulas. Vitamin B3 supports barrier function and more even-looking skin and complements the pore/texture focus without turning the mask into a dedicated high-strength niacinamide treatment.
Glycerin + Sodium Hyaluronate + Betaine – Humectants that help draw water into the skin and give Step 2 its hydrating, plumping effect.
Ceramide NP + Cholesterol + Phytosphingosine – Particularly useful in the second step. These skin-lipid-related ingredients support the barrier and help make the follow-up mask more than simply a wet sheet of hydrating essence.
Squalane + Shea Butter + Olive Oil – Emollient ingredients in Step 2 that soften the skin and help reduce the tight feeling that can follow more intensive treatments.
Propolis Extract – A bee-derived skin-conditioning ingredient included in both stages of the treatment. This means the product is not suitable for someone avoiding bee-derived ingredients.
Adenosine – A commonly used Korean skincare ingredient that supports smoother-looking skin and complements the product's overall texture-focused positioning.
Hydrolysed Collagen – Included in Step 2 primarily as a hydrating and skin-conditioning ingredient. It should not be interpreted as physically replacing the structural collagen deeper within your skin.
Amino Acid Complex – Step 1 contains a broad group of amino acids including glycine, serine, glutamic acid, arginine and others. These act primarily as skin-conditioning components within the wider formula.
Ingredients may change at the manufacturer's discretion. Always check the packaging if you have a known ingredient sensitivity.
