For anyone who has seen epii on TikTok and wants to know which of the five products actually suits their skin, without buying all of them.
The short answer
WHICH EPII PRODUCT SHOULD YOU START WITH?
epii is a young Korean skincare brand that makes a few products with very clear jobs. Start with the one that matches what you want to change. If your skin feels dry, tight or easily upset, start with the Double Up Cream Ectoin & Panthenol. For dullness and uneven tone, start with the VITA Pro Shot or the Double Up Cream NAD+ NMN & TXA. For bounce and firmness without a retinoid, start with the HPT6 Ultra Drop. For fine lines and texture, if you're ready for a retinoid, choose the HPR Pro Shot. One product at a time is the best way to see what each one does for you.
| If you want… | Start with | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Comfort for dry, tight or sensitive-feeling skin | Double Up Cream Ectoin & Panthenol | £23.99 |
| A moisturiser that works on dullness and uneven tone | Double Up Cream NAD+ NMN & TXA | £23.99 |
| Bounce and firmness, with no retinoid | HPT6 Ultra Drop 10% | £36.99 |
| A brightening serum for dark spots and dullness | VITA Pro Shot | £23.99 |
| An evening retinoid for fine lines and texture | HPR Pro Shot | £23.99 |
These are products we sell. I've marked which ones I'm using myself. I only started on epii recently, so these are first impressions, not long-term results.
What is epii, and why is everyone talking about it?
epii (always written in lower case) is a Korean skincare brand from Seoul, made by G2Global Korea. It launched in 2025, and the name blends "epidermis" and "individual". The range is split into two "episodes": Episode 01, Into the Glow, has the Double Up Creams, and Episode 02, Gentle Longevity, has HPT6 and the Pro Shots.
Most people find epii on TikTok. The brand grew mainly through creators, and its own press release (October 2026) says it has sold around 2 million units in 47 countries, with over a billion TikTok views in eight months. Those are epii's figures, not ones we can check, but they explain why it suddenly seems to be everywhere.
What I like about epii is that it doesn't sell you a ten-step routine. Each product has a clear job and the key ingredients are printed on the front, often with percentages. That makes it much easier to choose.
What's so special about the Double Up Creams?
Each Double Up tube holds two creams, an inner one and an outer one, that come out together when you squeeze. epii's directions are simple: tap the tube on your palm a few times, squeeze from the centre, and apply evenly. Store it upright. You don't need to mix anything yourself.
The two Double Ups have different jobs, so pick by what your skin needs.

Comforting moisturiser
I use this
Double Up Cream Ectoin & PanthenolWhy I'd choose it: I have very sensitive skin and rosacea. My rosacea is temperamental: sometimes it reacts to a product and sometimes it doesn't. So far this cream hasn't set it off, and it feels soothing. It's built on panthenol, niacinamide and hyaluronic acid, and the inner cream adds ectoin, an ingredient known for helping skin cope with dryness and everyday stress. epii say it hydrates and supports the look of a healthy moisture barrier.
Best for: dry, tight or sensitive-feeling skin, and a comfortable last step on retinoid nights.
Not ideal if: you avoid essential oils or silicones. It contains rosewood oil and vinyl dimethicone, so patch test first if your skin is reactive. My experience with rosacea is mine, not a promise for yours.

Tone-evening moisturiser
Chosen from the ingredient list
Double Up Cream NAD+ NMN & TXAWhy I'd choose it: it puts tranexamic acid and niacinamide, a well-known pair for the look of uneven tone and post-blemish marks, into your moisturiser, so you get that step without adding another serum. The outer cream adds NAD+ and NMN. epii say it helps improve uneven tone and the appearance of firmness.
Best for: dull or uneven-looking skin, dark marks from old spots, and skin starting to look less firm.
Not ideal if: you avoid essential oils or silicones. Like its sister cream, it contains rosewood oil and vinyl dimethicone.

Skin feels uncomfortable? Choose Ectoin & Panthenol. Feels fine but looks dull or uneven? Choose NAD+ NMN & TXA.
What does HPT6 actually mean?
This is the question nobody seems to answer. HPT is not a peptide. It's hydroxypropyl tetrahydropyrantriol, a sugar-derived ingredient made from beechwood that's used for the look of firmer, bouncier skin. The Ultra Drop has 10% of it. The "6" comes from Matrixyl Synthe'6 (palmitoyl tripeptide-38), a well-known peptide at 2%. Panthenol and ectoin keep it comfortable, and there's no retinoid.

Firming serum
I use this
HPT6 Ultra Drop 10%Why I'd choose it: this is my favourite of the five. It makes my skin feel really soft. The texture is delicate and gentle, it sinks into the skin nicely, and it sits well under makeup. Because there's no retinoid, it fits into almost any routine, morning or evening.
Best for: skin that's lost a bit of its bounce, the look of fine lines, and mature or dehydrated-feeling skin.
Not ideal if: you want a retinoid (there isn't one), or you avoid silicones (it contains vinyl dimethicone).

What are the Pro Shots, and can you use both?
The Pro Shots are small 20 ml tubes of concentrated serum, with the key percentages printed on the pack. There are two, for two different jobs.

Brightening serum
I've just started using this
VITA Pro ShotWhy I'd choose it: it combines a 5% vitamin C derivative (3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid, a stable form rather than pure vitamin C) with tranexamic acid (1%) and niacinamide (2%) for the look of uneven tone, glutathione and a peptide, and caffeine (2%) for a more awake look. That's a lot of brightening in one small tube. It's a face and eye serum, and you can use it morning or evening.
Best for: dull or uneven-looking skin, dark spots and post-blemish marks, and tired-looking under-eyes.
Not ideal if: you want pure vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid), or you won't wear sunscreen every day. The tube carries a sunburn alert.

Evening retinoid
Chosen from the ingredient list
HPR Pro ShotWhy I'd choose it: it combines three retinoids in modest amounts: HPR (0.3%), retinal (0.1%) and retinol (0.05%). Ectoin, panthenol and madecassoside are there to help skin stay comfortable. It's a sensible next step if you've used a gentle retinoid before.
Best for: the look of fine lines, uneven texture and uneven tone.
Not ideal if: you're pregnant, trying to conceive or breastfeeding, or you already use another retinoid, including a prescription one. Don't layer them.

Can you use both Pro Shots? Yes, but not in the same routine. The easy way is VITA in the morning and HPR in the evening. Start HPR two or three nights a week, and wear SPF every morning while you use either. If you're new to retinoids, I wrote about which retinal strength to start with.
How do you put the epii range together?
You don't need all five. Here's how they fit if you use more than one. This is our suggestion based on each product's directions, not an official epii routine.
Morning
- Gentle cleanser, or water if your skin is comfortable
- Toner
- VITA Pro Shot and/or HPT6 Ultra Drop (let each one absorb)
- A Double Up Cream
- Sunscreen, always
Evening
- Cleanse (an oil or balm first if you wore sunscreen or makeup; see my cleanser guide)
- Toner
- HPT6 Ultra Drop, and let it absorb
- HPR Pro Shot, two or three nights a week to start
- Double Up Cream Ectoin & Panthenol
On nights without HPR, just skip step 4.
Two simple pairs if you want to start with two products:
- Soft, comfortable skin: HPT6 Ultra Drop + Double Up Cream Ectoin & Panthenol. This is what I'm using.
- Dull, uneven-looking skin: VITA Pro Shot in the morning + Double Up Cream NAD+ NMN & TXA.
You can see the whole range together in our epii collection.
Is epii worth it?
For me, the HPT6 Ultra Drop is the stand-out so far. It's the one I'd recommend first if you want soft, bouncy-feeling skin without a retinoid. The Double Up Cream Ectoin & Panthenol is the one I'd suggest for sensitive skin, with a patch test because of the rosewood oil.
What epii does well is clarity: clear jobs, clear percentages, and textures that are pleasant to use. What it won't do is replace patience. Changes to tone, firmness and texture build over weeks, not days, whichever brand you use.

Is epii sold at Olive Young?
As far as we can see, no. epii sells mainly online, through its own channels, TikTok Shop and retailers like us.
Which epii product is best for sensitive skin?
The Double Up Cream Ectoin & Panthenol. It's the one I use on my sensitive skin. It does contain rosewood oil, so patch test first.

Yes, in different routines: VITA in the morning and HPR in the evening, with sunscreen every day.
What does HPT6 stand for?
HPT is hydroxypropyl tetrahydropyrantriol, a sugar-derived firming ingredient. The 6 refers to the Matrixyl Synthe'6 peptide in the formula.
Is epii vegan and cruelty-free?
We can't confirm it. Some retailers describe epii that way, but our boxes don't carry a vegan or cruelty-free mark and we haven't found an official statement from epii.
