  • Use morning or evening on a wet face. In the evening, remove makeup or sunscreen first with an oil or balm.
  • Work a small amount into a foam with a little lukewarm water before it touches your face, as the tube directs.
  • Massage gently over the face, keeping it out of your eyes, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
  • If you already use a BHA product, other exfoliating acids or a retinoid, start with once a day and watch for dryness.
  • Stop if irritation or a rash appears, as the tube advises. If it gets in your eyes, rinse them straight away.

Is this a blemish treatment?

No. It is a cosmetic cleanser for blemish-prone, oily skin: it lifts excess oil and helps with the look of clogged pores and blackheads as part of your daily cleanse. It is not a substitute for advice if your breakouts are painful or persistent.

Is it suitable for sensitive or dry skin?

It depends. Abib market it partly to sensitive skin, but because it contains salicylic acid and wintergreen, it is not our default choice for reactive or dry skin. If that is you, Etude SoonJung pH 6.5 Whip Cleanser is gentler.

Can I use it twice a day?

Many oily and combination skins can. If your skin starts to feel tight, or you use other exfoliating products, drop to once a day.
