  • Spread an even layer over the face, avoiding the eyes and lips. On combination skin you can keep it to oilier areas such as the nose, chin and forehead.
  • Leave it for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Massage gently with lukewarm water, then rinse off. Keep the pressure light: the red bean powder already gives a polish.
  • Follow with toner and moisturiser. Use it weekly or as needed, and count it as an exfoliation night rather than using it on the same night as exfoliating acids or retinoids.
  • Patch test first if your skin reacts easily. The box says to avoid contact with the eyes and to stop if discomfort or sensitivity occurs.
