100% authentic K‑beauty- Hand-picked by our founder
PURCELL 82% High Dose Peptide Formula is a watery peptide serum whose first ingredient is saccharomyces/hexapeptide-11 ferment filtrate, with palmitoyl tripeptide-5, hydrolysed collagen, carnitine and adenosine. It helps skin look smoother, bouncier and firmer, with a fresh, dewy finish.
What it does
The hexapeptide-11 ferment and palmitoyl tripeptide-5 are signalling peptides used for the look of firmness and fine lines. Hydrolysed collagen, glycerin and betaine keep skin hydrated and plump-looking, and adenosine supports smoother-looking skin. The "82%" is part of PURCELL's product name, not a measure of pure peptide: the hexapeptide-11 sits inside a yeast ferment, which is the first ingredient on the list.
Why we chose it
It is a short, 14-ingredient formula with no fragrance, acids or retinoid listed, so it slots easily into a routine that already has a retinoid. It pairs with PURCELL Pixcell Biom from the same brand.
Best for
- The look of fine lines and early loss of firmness
- Skin that looks less bouncy
- Dehydrated skin that looks flat
- Adding peptides alongside a retinoid routine
- Oily or combination skin that wants a light texture
Not ideal if
- You avoid animal-derived ingredients: hydrolysed collagen is listed and PURCELL do not state its source
- You want a stronger treatment for lines and texture: a retinoid such as Purito TXA 6% + Niacinamide 10% + Retinal Serum works differently
Key ingredients
- Saccharomyces/hexapeptide-11 ferment filtrate (first on the list): the look of firmness and elasticity
- Palmitoyl tripeptide-5 (near the end of the list): a supporting peptide for the look of fine lines
- Hydrolysed collagen: hydration and a plumper look
- Carnitine: skin conditioning
- Adenosine: smoother-looking skin
Texture and finish
Very light and watery. It absorbs quickly without a greasy residue and leaves a dewy finish.
Where it goes in your routine
Morning and evening, straight after cleansing. Use the applicator to put a small amount on the forehead, cheeks and chin and spread it over the face, then carry on with toner, serum and moisturiser. In the morning, finish with sunscreen.
What to expect
Skin feels hydrated and smooth from the first use. Any change in the look of fine lines and firmness is gradual and depends on steady daily use.
Quick facts: 30 ml · Hexapeptide-11 ferment and two peptides · 14 ingredients · AM and PM · PURCELL, Korean brand
- Use morning and evening, straight after cleansing and before toner.
- Apply a small amount to the forehead, cheeks and chin with the applicator, then spread it over the face.
- Follow with toner, serum and moisturiser, and sunscreen in the morning.
- It is a light treatment layer, not a moisturiser, so always follow with one, especially if your skin is dry.
- It has no retinoid or exfoliating acids, so it can sit in the same routine as yours. If you prefer fewer layers, use it in the morning and your retinoid at night.
- Patch test first if your skin is very reactive.
Saccharomyces/Hexapeptide-11 Ferment Filtrate Extract, Propanediol, Glycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Betaine, Water, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Carnitine, Adenosine, Methyl Gluceth-20, Butylene Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5, Xanthan Gum
Good to know
- No fragrance in the listed ingredients
- Contains hydrolysed collagen (source not stated)
- No retinoid and no exfoliating acids
- The "82%" in the name is not a measure of pure peptide
What does the "82%" in the name mean?
It is part of PURCELL's product name for this formula, which is built on a yeast ferment containing hexapeptide-11 (the first ingredient on the list). It does not mean the serum is 82% pure peptide. We have not seen a percentage on our own box, so we don't quote one as a concentration.
Can I use it with retinal or retinol?
Yes. There is no need to separate it from a retinoid. A simple option is this serum in the morning and your retinoid at night, or both in the same evening routine if your skin is comfortable with layering.
Is it a replacement for a retinoid?
No. They work differently. If established lines are your main concern, a retinoid is usually the more targeted choice. This serum is for adding peptides and hydration for the look of firmness and smoother skin, and it can sit alongside a retinoid.
Will the collagen replace collagen in my skin?
No. On the skin, hydrolysed collagen holds moisture for a smoother, plumper-looking surface. It does not add to or rebuild the collagen in your skin. Its role here is hydrating and conditioning.
Can sensitive skin use it?
It depends on your skin. There is no fragrance, exfoliating acid or retinoid in the ingredient list, so it does not need a slow introduction schedule. Any new serum can still disagree with very reactive skin, so patch test first.
Can oily or dry skin use it?
Yes, in different ways. Oily and combination skin usually like the watery texture, which adds peptides without the weight of an anti-ageing cream. Dry skin should treat it as a treatment layer and follow with a richer moisturiser.
