Are these exfoliating pads?

No. There are no exfoliating acids in the list. These are hydrating, calming pads, so they suit days when you want to soothe rather than resurface.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

It depends on your skin. COSRX designed these pads for sensitised skin and our box states a low-irritation test was completed. They also contain water mint, a second mint extract and menthyl lactate for the cooling feel, which some reactive skin dislikes. Patch test first.

How long should I leave a pad on?

Five to ten minutes, as the box directs, on the areas that need calming. Then remove it and pat the leftover essence in.

Will it help with redness?

It is a cosmetic calming step: it helps skin that looks red or feels warm feel cooler and more comfortable. It is not a treatment for a skin condition, so persistent redness is worth discussing with your GP.

Can I use it after retinoids or exfoliating acids?

Yes, that is one of the reasons we chose it: there are no acids or retinoid in the formula, so it adds a calming, hydrating layer on those evenings. Skip the mask step if the mint feels uncomfortable on freshly treated skin.
