What is it best for?

Flat dark marks and uneven tone together with shine and visible pores, which is a common mix on oily and combination skin. It works on the look of pores by helping with oil; it does not change pore size.

Is 10% niacinamide too strong?

It is a high-strength formula, and higher is not automatically better. Many skins are comfortable with it, but if you are new to niacinamide or your skin flushes easily, start once a day or every other day and build up.

Will it fade post-acne marks?

It can help with flat, darker marks left after a breakout has settled, gradually and with daily sunscreen. It will not change indented, pitted or raised scars, which are a change in skin structure.

Can sensitive skin use it?

It depends on your skin. There is no fragrance or exfoliating acid in the ingredient list, and it includes three centella compounds. But 10% niacinamide plus a long list of plant extracts (lemon myrtle leaf, gardenia, ivy, mugwort and others) can be too much for very reactive skin. It is not in our Sensitive collection; if you try it, patch test and start slowly.

Can I use it with retinol, vitamin C or exfoliating acids?

Yes, there is no need to separate niacinamide from these. Your skin responds to the whole routine, though, so introduce one new product at a time. If you prefer fewer layers, use this serum in the morning and the other active at night.

Does it treat acne?

No. We don't sell it as an acne treatment. It helps with oil and shine and suits a breakout-prone routine, but active or persistent acne needs a dedicated approach.
