Is this cleanser good for oily skin?

Yes. Oily and combination skin are where it makes the most sense. Anua made it to remove impurities and excess sebum, which suits a T-zone that gets oily or congested during the day. Your skin should still feel comfortable afterwards; if it regularly feels tight, use it less often.

Will it remove blackheads?

It helps lift the oil, dead skin and build-up involved in congestion, so it fits well in a blackhead-focused routine. Persistent blackheads are not something we would expect a rinse-off cleanser to clear on its own, so think of it as your cleansing step rather than your whole blackhead routine.

Is it good for blemish-prone skin?

It can be a useful cleanser for oily, blemish-prone skin because it focuses on excess oil, congestion and mild exfoliation around pores. It is a cleanser, not a blemish treatment, so it supports the rest of your routine rather than replacing it.

Can dry skin use it?

It isn't the cleanser we would choose for dry skin. If your skin is dry but your T-zone gets congested, you could use it there occasionally, but if tightness or comfort is your main concern, a gentler, hydration-focused cleanser such as Etude SoonJung pH 6.5 Whip Cleanser is a better fit.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

We would be cautious. Heartleaf is there to help skin feel calm, but this is still a pore-focused formula with betaine salicylate, LHA and eucalyptus leaf oil. Very reactive or sensitised skin is usually happier with a simpler cleanser. If you are sensitive but oily or congested, patch test and start with a few times a week.

What should I use before it?

If you wear makeup or water-resistant sunscreen, start with a cleansing oil such as Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Cleansing Oil, then use this foam as your second cleanse. If you have little to remove, one cleanse with this foam is enough.
