Bifida Biome Complex Ampoule (50ml)

MANYO Bifida Biome Complex Ampoule is a lightweight Korean barrier-support ampoule for skin that feels dehydrated, sensitive, easily irritated or less resilient than it used to. At the centre of the formula is a Bifida-led blend of five ferment-derived ingredients, supported by niacinamide, squalane, multiple forms of hyaluronic acid, Centella components, adenosine and peptides. Rather than acting like an exfoliating acid or high-strength treatment, this ampoule works in the quieter part of your routine: helping skin stay hydrated, comfortable and better supported while improving the appearance of softness, bounce and fine lines over time. That makes it particularly useful when your skin feels as though it needs more than hydration alone — perhaps it becomes irritated easily, feels tight after cleansing, looks less plump or struggles when you introduce stronger treatments such as retinal or exfoliating acids. The texture is light enough to use every day and gives you barrier-focused care without relying on a very rich cream, making it suitable for dry skin but also easy to incorporate into combination and oily routines. ma positions the ampoule around barrier support, hydration and the appearance of wrinkles, and the current formula contains Bifida ferments, niacinamide, squalane, multiple hyaluronic-acid forms and peptides. Especially suited to • Dehydrated or tight-feeling skin • Sensitive or easily irritated skin • A weakened or stressed skin barrier • Skin becoming less resilient with age • Dry skin that needs additional hydration beneath moisturiser • Combination or oily skin wanting lightweight barrier support • Skin using retinol, retinal or exfoliating treatments • Fine lines that look more noticeable when skin is dehydrated Why you'll love it • Bifida-led complex with five ferment-derived ingredients • Multiple forms of hyaluronic acid provide layered hydration • Niacinamide supports barrier function and more even-looking skin • Squalane helps soften and reduce moisture loss without a heavy finish • Adenosine and peptides complement its smoother, firmer-looking skin focus • Lightweight enough for morning and evening use Texture A light, silky ampoule with slightly more body than a watery essence but without the richness of a facial oil or cream. It spreads easily, sinks in comfortably and leaves the skin feeling hydrated and softly plumped rather than coated. Good to know The word “probiotic” needs a little explanation here. ma describes the formula as containing five probiotics, but the ingredient list actually contains Bifida Ferment Lysate, Bifida Ferment Filtrate, Lactobacillus Ferment Lysate, Lactococcus Ferment Lysate and Saccharomyces Ferment Filtrate. These are ferment-derived ingredients — they are not live probiotic bacteria living inside the bottle. That does not mean the Bifida story is just marketing. Research on Bifida Ferment Lysate has found effects relating to skin-barrier function and resistance to environmental stress, while a randomized study using a Bifidobacterium longum lysate-containing formula found reduced skin sensitivity in participants with reactive skin. Those studies do not prove that every Bifida product will produce identical results, but they give the ingredient more substance than simply calling it a trendy “microbiome” ingredient. Another thing worth knowing: “10 types of hyaluronic acid” does not mean ten times more hydration than a serum containing one. Different forms of hyaluronic acid have different molecular sizes and properties within a formula. Using several forms can help create a more sophisticated hydration system, but the finished formulation matters more than counting how many versions of HA appear on the label. And although this ampoule contains niacinamide, adenosine and peptides, we would not position it as an alternative to retinal if established wrinkles are your main concern. Think of it instead as barrier + hydration + supportive well-ageing care : helping skin stay hydrated, resilient and smoother-looking while stronger targeted treatments do their own job.

Texture

A light, silky ampoule with slightly more body than a watery essence but without the richness of a facial oil or cream.

It spreads easily, sinks in comfortably and leaves the skin feeling hydrated and softly plumped rather than coated.

Good to know

The word “probiotic” needs a little explanation here.

ma describes the formula as containing five probiotics, but the ingredient list actually contains Bifida Ferment Lysate, Bifida Ferment Filtrate, Lactobacillus Ferment Lysate, Lactococcus Ferment Lysate and Saccharomyces Ferment Filtrate.

Think of it instead as barrier + hydration + supportive well-ageing care: helping skin stay hydrated, resilient and smoother-looking while stronger targeted treatments do their own job.

Use morning and/or evening after cleansing and toner.

Apply 2–3 drops across the face and gently press or pat into the skin until absorbed.

Follow with any additional treatment serum if needed, then moisturiser.

In the morning, finish with SPF.

If your routine contains several very watery products, apply them from thinnest to thickest rather than worrying about a rigid essence-versus-ampoule rule.

Tips to get the most out of it

• This works particularly well as the supportive part of a routine containing retinal, retinol, exfoliating acids or Vitamin C

• You do not need to alternate Bifida ferments with most active ingredients — there is no standard ingredient conflict requiring separate nights

• If your skin is irritated from over-exfoliation, use this alongside a simpler routine rather than continuing to exfoliate and expecting the ampoule to cancel out the damage

• Dry skin should usually follow it with a proper moisturiser; an ampoule cannot replace the emollient and occlusive support of a good cream

• Oily skin can still have a weak or dehydrated barrier. A lightweight ampoule like this can provide support without requiring every barrier product to be thick and rich

• If your skin suddenly starts reacting to products it previously tolerated, simplifying the routine for a while is often more useful than adding five different “repair” serums at once

• You don't need to wait several minutes after applying it. Once the ampoule has settled comfortably, continue with your next step

• Consistency matters more than using a large amount. A few drops morning and/or evening is enough

-

Patch-test first! Every skin is unique—what one person tolerates beautifully may irritate another. Dab a small amount behind your ear or along the jawline and wait 24 hours before full use.

What is MANYO Bifida Biome Complex Ampoule best for?

Its clearest role is hydration and skin-barrier support.

We would particularly consider it for dehydrated, sensitive, easily irritated or stressed skin, as well as skin that needs more supportive care while using stronger active treatments.

ma itself positions the ampoule around strengthening the moisture barrier, hydration and smoother-looking skin.

-

What is Bifida Ferment Lysate?

Bifida Ferment Lysate is an ingredient made from the breakdown products of fermented Bifidobacterium.

It is not live bacteria.

It is used in skincare primarily as a skin-conditioning and barrier-support ingredient, and published research has found effects relating to barrier function and resistance to oxidative stress.

-

Does this ampoule contain live probiotics?

No.

Despite ma using the term “5 probiotics”, the ingredient list contains bacterial and yeast ferment lysates and filtrates, rather than live probiotic microorganisms.

You therefore do not need to worry about “keeping the bacteria alive” or treating this like a refrigerated probiotic supplement.

-

What are the five ferment ingredients?

The current formula contains:

Bifida Ferment Lysate
Bifida Ferment Filtrate
Lactobacillus Ferment Lysate
Lactococcus Ferment Lysate
Saccharomyces Ferment Filtrate

Together they form the ferment-rich base behind ma's Bifida Biome positioning.

-

Is MANYO Bifida Biome Complex Ampoule good for a damaged skin barrier?

It can be an excellent supporting product.

Bifida ferments, niacinamide, squalane and humectants all make sense in a routine focused on hydration and barrier resilience. Niacinamide itself has evidence for supporting epidermal barrier function and reducing transepidermal water loss.

But if your skin is actively burning, heavily peeling or reacting to everything, look at the cause too.

Reducing irritating acids, retinoids or over-cleansing may be more important than simply adding another barrier product.

-

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

It is one of the ma products we would genuinely consider for sensitive or easily reactive skin.

The formula focuses heavily on hydration and barrier support, and research on Bifidobacterium-derived lysates has shown promise in reactive skin.

No formula is universally safe for every sensitive skin type, however, so patch test if your skin is particularly reactive.

-

Can oily skin use it?

Yes.

Barrier support is not only for dry skin.

Oily skin can still become dehydrated, sensitised or compromised, particularly when acne treatments, acids or strong cleansers are involved.

The lightweight ampoule texture makes this much easier to incorporate into an oily routine than a very rich barrier cream.

-

Can acne-prone skin use it?

Potentially, yes.

The formula is lightweight and contains niacinamide, but we would not describe the ampoule itself as an acne treatment.

Its role is better understood as helping support hydration and skin comfort while the appropriate acne treatment addresses breakouts and congestion.

-

Can I use MANYO Bifida Ampoule with retinol or retinal?

Yes.

There is no standard reason Bifida ferments need to be separated from retinoids.

In fact, this type of hydrating and barrier-supportive ampoule can fit very naturally around a retinoid routine.

For example:

Morning: Bifida Ampoule → moisturiser → SPF

Evening: Bifida Ampoule → retinol/retinal → moisturiser

Or simply use the ampoule on whichever nights your skin benefits from additional hydration.

-

Can I use it with Vitamin C?

Yes.

There is no inherent incompatibility between this ampoule and Vitamin C.

If your morning routine tolerates both comfortably, you can use:

Vitamin C → MANYO Bifida Ampoule → moisturiser → SPF

If you prefer fewer layers, use the ampoule in the evening instead.

-

Can I use it with AHA or BHA?

Yes, but remember that compatibility and tolerance are not quite the same thing.

The ampoule itself does not need to be kept away from exfoliating acids.

However, if acids are already making your skin red, flaky or uncomfortable, the answer isn't simply to layer more barrier products over continuing irritation.

Reduce the exfoliation and give your skin recovery time.

-

Does it help with wrinkles?

It can support smoother and plumper-looking skin through hydration and contains niacinamide, adenosine and peptides including Copper Tripeptide-1 and Acetyl Hexapeptide-8. ma also positions the product around reducing the appearance of wrinkles.

We would still describe it as supportive well-ageing skincare rather than a primary wrinkle treatment.

If established wrinkles are your main concern, retinal or another evidence-backed retinoid would usually play the more targeted role, while this ampoule can support hydration and barrier comfort around it.

-

Does it brighten dark spots?

The formula contains niacinamide, which has evidence for several skin benefits including barrier support and improvements in uneven pigmentation.

However, pigmentation is not the main reason we would choose this ampoule.

If stubborn dark spots are your primary concern, a dedicated pigmentation serum with clearly disclosed concentrations of ingredients such as tranexamic acid, niacinamide, azelaic acid or appropriate retinoids may make more sense.

-

What is the difference between MANYO Bifida Biome Complex Ampoule and PURCELL Pixcell Biom 2Billion/mL?

Both are ferment-focused products, but they are quite different.

Choose PURCELL Pixcell Biom if:
You want an extremely minimalist, watery first-step treatment built around 90% Bifida and Lactobacillus ferment lysates.

Choose MANYO Bifida Biome Complex Ampoule if:
You want a more complete serum-style formula combining ferments with niacinamide, squalane, multiple hyaluronic-acid forms, Centella components, adenosine and peptides.

PURCELL is the more stripped-back ferment treatment.

MANYO is the more rounded hydration + barrier + plumping/well-ageing ampoule.

-

Do I use it before or after toner?

After toner.

ma's official instructions recommend applying the ampoule after toning and gently tapping it into the skin.

If you occasionally apply it before toner, however, you haven't ruined your routine. With several lightweight hydrating products, texture and what feels comfortable on your skin matter more than obsessing over tiny differences in order.

-

Does it replace moisturiser?

Usually, no.

The ampoule provides humectants, squalane and skin-conditioning ingredients, but a dedicated moisturiser generally provides more complete emollient and/or occlusive support.

Dry, dehydrated or compromised skin in particular should follow it with moisturiser.

Key Ingredients Explained

Bifida Ferment Lysate & Bifida Ferment Filtrate – The signature ingredients behind this ampoule. These ferment-derived ingredients are used to support skin conditioning and barrier resilience. Bifida Ferment Lysate also has published research supporting its role in skin-barrier function.

Lactobacillus, Lactococcus & Saccharomyces Ferments – Together with the two Bifida ingredients, these make up the five main ferment-derived ingredients ma markets as its “5 probiotics”. They are lysates and filtrates rather than live bacteria.

Niacinamide – Vitamin B3 with useful evidence behind barrier support, moisture retention, uneven tone and several visible signs of ageing. Here it complements the ferment-heavy formula rather than turning this into a dedicated high-strength niacinamide serum.

Squalane – A lightweight emollient that softens the skin and helps reduce the dry, tight feeling associated with moisture loss without giving the ampoule a heavy oily texture.

Multiple Forms of Hyaluronic Acid – The formula contains several forms and molecular sizes of hyaluronic-acid-derived humectants designed to attract and retain water. ma markets the system as “10 types of Hyaluronic Acid”.

Asiatic Acid, Asiaticoside & Madecassic Acid – Three Centella Asiatica-derived components included for skin conditioning and comfort, complementing the barrier-focused nature of the formula.

Adenosine – A skin-conditioning ingredient commonly used in Korean well-ageing formulas to support the appearance of smoother, more elastic-looking skin.

Copper Tripeptide-1 & Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 – Peptides included toward the end of the formula to complement its smoother and firmer-looking skin focus. We would consider these supporting ingredients rather than the primary reason to buy the ampoule.

Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG), Cocoa Extract & Edelweiss Culture Extract – Antioxidant-rich supporting ingredients included to help protect and condition the skin within the broader formula.

Ingredients may change at the manufacturer's discretion. Always check the packaging if you have a known ingredient sensitivity.
