Pure Cleansing Oil (200ml)

Use as the first step of your evening routine.

Start with completely dry hands and a dry face.

Dispense 2–3 pumps of cleansing oil into your hands and gently massage over the face for around 30–60 seconds, concentrating on areas with makeup, sunscreen or excess sebum.

Add a small amount of lukewarm water to your hands and massage again. The oil should turn milky as it emulsifies.

Continue adding a little water until the oil has fully emulsified, then rinse thoroughly.

Follow with a water-based cleanser if you are double cleansing.

Tips to get the most out of it

• Dry hands + dry face first. If you apply cleansing oil straight onto wet skin, you begin emulsifying it before it has had time to dissolve your makeup and SPF

• Don't skip emulsification. Adding water and massaging until the oil becomes milky is what helps it rinse away cleanly

• You do not need to massage for 10 or 15 minutes to “pull plugs” from your pores. Around 30–60 seconds is normally enough for everyday cleansing

• If little gritty pieces appear while massaging your nose, don't automatically assume you have extracted blackheads. They can also be product residue, dead skin or hardened sebum

• Avoid aggressively rubbing congested areas. More friction does not equal cleaner pores

• Double cleansing makes the most sense when you have worn makeup, water-resistant SPF or heavier products. It is not a compulsory Korean skincare rule for every person every evening

• If your skin is very dry, you may find that a gentle oil-first cleanse feels more comfortable than repeatedly using strong foaming cleansers to remove sunscreen

• If you experience blurry vision after getting cleansing oil into the eyes, rinse thoroughly with water rather than continuing to rub the
eye area

What does MANYO Pure Cleansing Oil remove?

It is designed to dissolve oil-soluble products and build-up including sunscreen, foundation, makeup, excess sebum and everyday grime.

That makes it particularly useful as the first step of an evening double cleanse.

Is MANYO Pure Cleansing Oil the same as Pure Soybean Cleansing Oil?

MANYO's current international packaging and website refer to the product as Pure Soybean Cleansing Oil.

You may still see the longstanding name Pure Cleansing Oil used by retailers and on earlier packaging.

Is cleansing oil suitable for oily skin?

Yes.

Oily skin does not have to avoid cleansing oils.

The product is rinsed away rather than left on the face, and oil is particularly effective at dissolving excess sebum, sunscreen and oil-based makeup.

The important part is emulsifying and rinsing the cleanser thoroughly.

Does MANYO Pure Cleansing Oil remove blackheads?

It can help loosen excess sebum and oily build-up around congested pores, which may make the skin and pores look cleaner.

But we would not rely on an oil cleanser as your only blackhead treatment.

Persistent blackheads generally need a routine that addresses the build-up of both oil and dead skin within the pore.

What are sebaceous filaments?

Sebaceous filaments are normal structures within your pores that help transport sebum to the surface of your skin.

They are especially visible around the nose and are often mistaken for blackheads.

You can make them look less noticeable by managing excess oil and congestion, but they naturally refill — they are not something you need to permanently extract.

Do I need to double cleanse after using it?

Not always, but usually that is how we would recommend using it in the evening.

The cleansing oil removes makeup, sunscreen and oil-based build-up first. A gentle water-based cleanser can then remove remaining sweat, dirt and residue from the skin.

If your skin is extremely dry or you have worn almost nothing on your face, your cleansing needs may be different.

Can I use it if I don't wear makeup?

Absolutely.

One of the main reasons to use an oil cleanser even without makeup is to remove sunscreen and excess sebum at the end of the day.

If you haven't worn SPF, makeup or heavier products, however, you don't necessarily need to double cleanse just because Korean skincare routines often include it.

Can I use it every day?

Yes, it can be used daily if your skin tolerates it comfortably.

For most people, evening use makes the most sense because that is when makeup, sunscreen and the day's build-up need removing.

Do I use cleansing oil on wet or dry skin?

Dry skin.

Apply the oil with dry hands to a dry face first. Massage it over the skin, then add water afterwards to begin emulsification.

That order gives the oil time to dissolve oil-soluble products before you rinse everything away.

How long should I massage cleansing oil for?

Around 30–60 seconds is generally plenty.

Long cleansing-oil massages have become popular online as a way of supposedly extracting blackheads and sebaceous filaments, but longer isn't automatically better.

Excessive rubbing can simply irritate your skin.

Can acne-prone skin use MANYO Pure Cleansing Oil?

The brand positions the cleanser as suitable for acne-prone skin, and cleansing sunscreen, makeup and excess sebum thoroughly can be useful within an acne-prone routine.

However, acne-prone skin varies enormously. If a particular cleansing oil consistently seems to trigger congestion for you, stop using it rather than assuming every product labelled non-comedogenic must work for your skin.

Is MANYO Pure Cleansing Oil suitable for sensitive skin?

Some sensitive skin types may tolerate it very well, but we wouldn't automatically call it the best option for every highly reactive skin type.

The current ingredient list contains lavender, orange and tea tree oils.

If you know your skin reacts to essential oils or fragrance components, choose a simpler cleansing oil instead.

Does it replace my normal cleanser?

Think of it as cleanser number one rather than necessarily your only cleanser.

A classic double cleanse looks like:

The first cleanser removes oil-soluble build-up; the second finishes cleansing the skin.

Can I use it around the eyes?

It can dissolve eye makeup, but keep your eyes closed and avoid getting the product directly into them.

If you wear particularly stubborn waterproof mascara, allow the oil to sit over the lashes briefly before gently massaging rather than rubbing harder.

Key Ingredients Explained

Soybean Oil (Glycine Soja) – The main cleansing oil in the formula. Rich in fatty acids, it helps dissolve makeup, sunscreen and excess sebum while giving the cleanser its soft, conditioning feel.

Hazelnut Seed Oil – A lightweight emollient oil that helps loosen oil-based build-up while leaving the skin feeling smooth rather than stripped.

Grape Seed Oil – A light plant oil naturally rich in linoleic acid and antioxidant compounds. It supports the silky texture of the cleanser while helping dissolve makeup and sebum.
