Will it clear my blackheads?

Not on its own: no cleanser does. Massaging it over the nose for longer helps loosen the oil and build-up that sit in pores, which is why Ma:nyo design it with congestion in mind. Think of it as a thorough daily first cleanse for congested skin, alongside the rest of your routine.

Does it remove waterproof mascara?

Ma:nyo say it dissolves waterproof mascara. Keep your eyes closed while you massage it over the lashes and rinse thoroughly. If your eyes are easily irritated, bear in mind that it contains essential oils.

How is it different from the original Ma:nyo Pure Cleansing Oil?

They are separate formulas. The original is built on soybean oil; this Deep Clean version is built on grape seed oil with a shorter ingredient list, and Ma:nyo design it for congested pores and blackheads.

Can sensitive skin use it?

It depends on your skin, but it is not our first choice for reactive skin. It contains bergamot and lavender oils, plus linalool and limonene. It is rinsed off, but if essential oils tend to upset your skin, Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Moisture Deep Cleansing Oil lists none (it does contain macadamia oil).

Can dry skin use it?

It can. It is an oil-based first cleanse that turns milky and rinses away, and it is followed by a second cleanser anyway. If your skin is dry, choose a gentle second cleanser and follow with moisturiser.

Is it vegan?

Ma:nyo describe it as vegan-friendly. Note that it does contain hazelnut seed oil, which matters if you have a nut allergy.
