  • Spread a small amount over your face, avoiding the eyes and lips, massage until absorbed, then press in with your palms. A prickling feel is expected.
  • Follow with a hydrating moisturiser.
  • Do not use it with LED masks or other skincare devices, on broken or sunburnt skin, or after a peel or laser until your skin has recovered.
  • Our suggestion: keep retinoids and exfoliating acids to other evenings, so you can tell how your skin is handling it.

How is the 300 different from the 100?

It is a stronger level with a more noticeable prickle, and our box says to use it every three days rather than daily. We see it as the next step for people who already get on well with Reedle Shot 100, not a place to start.

Is the prickling normal?

Yes. The fine silica particles are meant to be felt as you work the essence in. VT say redness, heat, dryness, itching or light flaking can happen; if it burns, or redness lasts, rinse it off with water and use it less often, or stop.

Is this microneedling?

No. It is a cosmetic essence with fine spicule-like particles that you can feel on the skin. It is not a substitute for a professional treatment, and we don't sell it as one.

Can sensitive skin use it?

We don't recommend it for sensitive or reactive skin. The prickle is the point of this product and 300 is one of the stronger levels. If you want to try Reedle Shot, start with VT Mild Reedle Shot 50 and patch test first.

Can I use it more often than every three days?

We would stick to what the box says. If your skin feels dry or tender between uses, leave a longer gap rather than a shorter one.

Does it contain nut or bee ingredients?

Yes. It contains macadamia seed oil (nut-derived) and propolis (bee-derived), so it is not suitable if you have a nut allergy or avoid bee products, and it is not vegan.
